Easy and worked great
It worked great both in the UK and Spain. I was we to activate it here in the US just before I left so I had it ready when I landed overseas. Great deal and fully functional, quick and easy.

Excellent card and value
This was my second Three card that I have used within a 2 year span. I bought them from different providers, but they both served me well. This card's value was upgraded from 12GB to 75GB instantly, and for me, 12GB ended up being tight for my 3 week/4 countries vacation.Do remember that your phone should be unlocked from the current provider, otherwise, your card will not work. Also, you need to register day of arrival to Europe beforehand. I put the card into my turned off phone shortly before landing in Lisbon. It was working as soon as the phone was on. I used the card for goggling restaurants, points of interest and other info. The major use of data was related to directions, either on car, walking, public transportation, etc. I visited 4 countries, and only had issues with the data loss in Barcelona for a short periods of time when directions would abruptly cease to work. But the issue did not last for more than several minutes. Places that connection was great: Portugal (Lisbon, Nazare, Porto, Sintra, Aveiro and in between); Spain (Madrid, Cuenca, Toledo); Germany (Freiburg), France (Colmar, Strasbourg). I had some issues in Barcelona as mentioned above.I did not have that much experience with the calling, which supposedly should be working. I attempted to dial AirBNB owner in Porto and call went through but was not picked up. When calling in Lisbon, I could not confirm if it was an issue with the card or network, but call did not appear to go through. However, this card 100% served the purpose for my trip and more. Highly recommend. I was able to use it as a hot spot for 2 devices with no issue.

Over priced nightmare
This is a reseller of SIMS. The factory packaging is clearly labelled 'not for resale'; so if anything goes wrong you are on your own. The 3 contract clearly states that the SIM is meant for use based in the UK. So buying this card to travel around Europe is not a good idea. The seller claims that its easy to top up the card, but this is not the case. The phone app for tracking usage worked OK but the account wouldn't let me top up because 3 didn't know who I was and wouldn't let me modify my account. I was eventually able to call 3 and top up (like all big companies 3 is not easy to communicate with) but then it turned out that I couldn't use the data I had purchased because I had hit the 12 GB monthly roaming limit (I was in France at the time). So two weeks into my trip I had to abandon the SIM and all the money I had put on it and get a new SIM. Buying a SIM card directly from the cell phone company that operates in your destination country ensures that you know the terms of the SIM card you have purchased and is also significantly cheaper. You have to do a bit of research and these companies sell directly to you (not on Amazon), but its a vastly better way to go.

Worked Perfectly!
I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this sim card, and decided to give it a try. So basically, if you follow all the instructions written in the user manual that came with the sim card, it will work fine in Europe.Since I purchased the activation required sim card, as soon as I received my sim card, I immediately completed the activation application online via the link provided in the manual. We are advised to complete the activation process at least 2 days before the date of use. The info needed in the activation process was simple - Amazon order number, activation date, ICCID (SIM card barcode number that starts with 89) and email address, and that's it. You will receive an email after completion for confirmation. On the day of travel, I only inserted my sim card when I was in the air and my phone was on airplane mode. So when I landed, I was able to use it right away. There were some text messages that came in through the sim card number as soon as I turned on the line. It was saying "Your GBP10.00 Top-up's good to go - so your new balance is GBP0. It's a 35p per minute, 15p per text, and 10p per MB of data....". I basically just ignored the messages, as the sim card worked perfectly fine in the UK for my one week stay. I even made a few calls in between and the data connection was stable and good (remember to turn on the data roaming for this sim card). I did not have to go in to the APN settings. But when I went to France, I had to go in to the cellular settings to adjust the network selection on my phone. It was default to be automatic on my phone, but if I turned that off, I can select different telecom lines that provide stronger network connection. Once I selected the telecom network of my choice, it worked perfectly fine in France, no other steps required.I would purchase this sim card again for my next Europe trip.

Looks Like Not a UK Phone Number When Activated
We are on our way from the USA to Europe. This option is so much cheaper than keeping my ATT SIMS. I followed the directions to activate and that worked just fine. But one issue, the promo information stated it would be a UK phone number. When the cards were activated it looks to be a Russian phone number. That may not be an issue, but we will see when we land in Amsterdam. If the cards work, not a problem. If I find a problem with texting or making a few local calls, I will come back and update my review.
