Can anyone tell me how long and wide this item is once built? Need to see if it would work on a birthday cake or is it too big.

exquisite and fun
I'm a big fan of Playmobil and this is one of their best. The fishing boat design is particularly charming with has all the great details you'd expect... fishing rods that catch the fish, tiny crates and jolly fisherman with stubble. It's also particularly robust... no flaps, doors, turrets or ramps to fall off this model (unlike the Playmobil 5127 Car Ferry with Pier). It's a nice size too, perfect for the bath tub. In addition, all the little bits are useful and have their place (apart from the seagull maybe) so they get played with rather than just serving as scene setting. My son is particularly fond of swamping the boat with a wave which washes all the bits overboard which then have to be retrieved by a diver (from another Playmobil set). It also gets used in conjunction with the dock from the ferry set and the diving submarine Playmobil - Deep Sea Submarine 3611. He also uses the motor from the submarine (although you can buy it separately Playmobil 7350 Underwater Motor and the boat chugs round at a lovely speed.This is a great set and a good introduction to Playmobil if you haven't got any. It's reasonably priced too so I'll probably buy another couple more for friends.

Quirky and fun
This was a big hit for my son on his birthday! It had to be put together immediately (fortunately very easily) and he had to play with it for a while before opening the rest of his presents! It can also be used on the water and a separate engine can be purchased to make it motorised too. It now lives by our sink and my 5 year old has really enjoyed playing with it in water and pretending to catch fishes whilst at sea!!!Is the good quality that I've come to expect from playmobil over the years! There are however, some small pieces so do be aware if the item is around babies and toddlers but 5* for slightly older children!

more beautiful Playmobil
What a wonderful boat from this excellent brand.Playmobil think of everything and this toy absorbs small people for many hours. My children have learnt to really prize all the tiny bits and store them with great care. Playmobil toys really teach kids to look after their toys and therefore playmobil lasts for years and years. this boat has fisherman that can hold the rod and catch the fish, figures to sit and pilot the boat etc. I bought this for a 4 yr old girl who loves this in the bath. Kids adore assembling it, all part of the toy ! it is beautifully designed and a quality product and does what kids want it to do , ie fishermans hands to hold the steering wheel/ bucket handle. so i highly recommend even at full price.

another great PlayMobil toy
This is my third and biggest Playmobil toy purchase.Its good quality like all of the others. There's nothing worse than buying a toy expecting it to live up to the expectations shown on the box and then be dissapointed. This has never happened with Playmobil.The pieces are detailed and well made. Some parts of this set are tiny (like the two little knives) but we've been trying to keep all of the parts together after we're finished playing with them and away from other toys. Its a useful technique in teaching my nearly 3 year old how to look after the things he values.He loves this set and returns to it often.

Same amazing playmobil quality
Bought for my some for Christmas and he loves it. He loves taking his playmobil in to the bath so thought this would be a great addition and it was a winner. Great price and same great quality from playmobil

I brought this as a gift for a friend, The package seemed to be in condition. However, I can not open the package myself, so I don't know the quality of this purchase. On the other hand, It arrived on time, there was no delays. I do think its a great value for money. I also think the the small part can be easily be lost, I guess you cant do much about that.The reason why I gave this a three star rating, is because I don't know what it looks like inside the package. As in some cases the pictures can vary from what the actual product looks like. However, I'm sure it will be a great gift for anyone, as I don't have any doubts when I brought this.
