Q: How long have you had this? Any issues?

I purchased the queen size. I have had no issues with this mattress other than needing help to bring it into my house. After it was placed on my bed it didn't take long for it to come to full size. I find it to be very comfortable after sleeping on it for a couple of weeks.

Q: does anyone have a king? if so, is it holding up well?

I purchased the king for my son and he is a pretty big guy and he actually loves it and its still holding up strong. Ive heard no issues or complaints so that's a good thing. Hope this helps

Q: Is the twin an “xl”? If so, would it work for an adjustable split king frame? How many coils are there per twin?

It's not an "xl". The twin size is 39x75 inches and has 450 count coils. Hope it meets your need.

Q: Does this mattress have to lay flat once open to fully expand or can it stand on its side?

It starts to expand as soon as you open it so we flipped it over on the bed and expanded very quickly then pushed it into place you could stand it up I think but it is very very heavy but still very comfortable much more than we expected
