Q: What is the blade size?

I did not buy the shovel but rather the wooden handle.

Q: What gauge is the steel?

I'm sorry, but I cannot answer your question. I do not know what gauge steel this shovel is made with. I have been using my shovel many, many times for shoveling snow and my shovel is holding up very well well.

Q: Need to shovel a huge pile of wood chip mulch into my truck. would this blade and scoop do the job?

Yes this shovel is designed for that, it’s good for pulling loose matter off a relatively flat surface. It’s not as good at separating wood chips from the pile, though, particularly if the pile is wet. You might want a spade for that.

Q: will this handle fit a USA Temper 2 shovel?

It looks that the handle would fit in. I recommend is to go to the store that offers the shovel and measure the diameter. Good luck!!!
