Good coffee
The taste was very nice, clearly the bean of high quality and fresh. If you like a smooth coffee with a decent caffeine content I would recommend.

Used in a bean-to-coffee machine.
This is incredibly flavoursome coffee. It's definitely on the strong side but it's not harsh at all. It actually makes the perfect morning cuppa. I love it.

Medium
More a medium than dark roast. Flavour is ok in a moka but seems lacking used in a cafetiere, a bit 'thin'.

Fantastic quality strong coffee.
Beans from my sample smelled and looked very fresh from the bag. Despite being a dark roast, the beans were not oily or shiny at all, which is a great sign of quality roasting. I used these beans with my Delonghi Primadonna bean-to-cup machine.Taste is delicious, if you're a fan of dark rich coffee that has a 'kick' to it, you'll absolutely love these beans. Espresso definitely has a lot of character, a lot of dark chocolatey and nutty tones that is very pleasant to the taste. Being a darker roast, do be careful with your machine settings to get the extrusion temperature right, otherwise you may get coffee that's overwhelmingly bitter. The real winner is when using these beans in a milk recipe, as the strong dark roasted flavours are tempered by the milk to offer a well-rounded and flavoursome drink. Cappuccinos and lattes were a favourite in the household with this blend.I also have to give a shout out to the roasters offering 5% of their sales to Free The Bears. It's a fantastic cause and a genuinely extra feel-good reason for buying more of their delicious coffee.

Tasty & well priced coffee if you want a strong & authentic robusta bean for Vietnamese style brews
This coffee from Brown Bear arrived in a plastic pouch with a quick-tear tab and a built-in airtight grip-seal that should do a reasonable job of keeping the beans fresh as it is airtight. I personally use a vacuum storage container, but with such a small quantity the provided bag will be fine for most. The front and back of the pouch has a nice looking branded set of labels that have a brief overview about the coffee and its origins. As always, whether you’ll enjoy this particular pack of beans is largely subjective and dependent on if you enjoy not only dark roasts but also unblended robusta. I wouldn’t personally use this as my daily brew but it has been an enjoyable change of pace from my usual arabica & medium roast blends. To do this coffee justice, I feel like I should’ve got a proper Phin Filter brewer, but even without it, I was able to make an enjoyable Vietnamese style coffee with my trusty V60 and some condensed milk. Of course, you can enjoy this however you like, but this particular bean is chosen and roasted based on, providing a proper glimpse into how proper Vietnamese coffee drinks taste. I do really enjoy the ice-cold version of the drink suggested in the product description, and would wholeheartedly recommend anyone try it if you’re purchasing these beans. The one complaint I have with this is that there isn’t any indication of when the batch was roasted and placed into the pouch, which is the expected and widely accepted norm at this point. I know for a fact that due to the time it takes to get through the Amazon ecosystem the beans aren’t going to be anywhere near their prime but it's a compromise you have to be willing to accept with beans from this source, unfortunately.Other than the lack of a roasting and/or packaging date, I have no problems recommending this one.

ideal palate-awakening coffee for a morning pick-me-up
These coffee beans arrive in a securely sealed, airtight thick bag, keeping their flavour safe from light and oxygen during transit. They seem to have gone through careful processing and even roasting - no burnt or damaged beans here. The beans are plump, well-shaped, not too dense but firm, keeping their form and giving off a delicious, almost smoky-chocolaty aroma.Additionally, they have a nice oily gloss, finding the right balance between dryness and dampness. After grinding and brewing, I enjoyed a perfect cup of morning indulgence. With a rich velvety texture, it provides a deeply satisfying mouthfeel, blending robust smoky coffee notes with subtle hints of dark chocolate. Its low acidity, gracefully complemented by subtle sweetness, leaves a clean aftertaste. All in all, I would recommend this smooth and indulgent coffee for a satisfying morning kick-start.
