MATT PAINT FOR WOOD and METAL BLACK 0.25L

Great paint. Goes on shiney then dries to a matt finish. Excellent paint.

I was a little sceptical about using this paint. I was expecting it to turn out a gloss finish after reading the reviews. I can hand on heart say it really does dry Matt if you give it long enough to fully dry !! As it dries it still looks really glossy but after 24 hours it is Matt.The paint is quite thick when it goes on, but the coverage is excellent. I have painted my fire surround and some shelving units and they look great. I purchased it to paint all my interior doors but thought I’d start small first just to test it. I will definitely buy more for future projects.You must fully mix the paint before using so you get the desired Matt finish.Please be aware this is not water based so you will need some sort of solvent to wash your brushes. I used turpentine for my brushes but acetone works too for any small spots.

I bought this paint for my stairs and ended up using it to revamp an old drawer unit as well. It is thick and covers great, one coat did the job in most areas. Its VERY glossy when it first goes on, and it does take ages to be even touch dry, but once it dries it has a very smooth matt finish, I don't understand why for other people it stayed glossy.. maybe they didn't stir it properly or posted the review too soon, it does take many hours for it to turn matt. My only issue is the really strong smell as I have asthma so I struggled a bit with it and had to open all the windows, which didn't help the drying time. Would I buy it again? Absolutely, I am going around the house looking for more things to paint black now as I am in love with the results. A little goes a very long way so it is very good value for money too. Only giving 4 stars because the drying time is excessive compared to the many other paints I have ever used, and the smell is so strong, but if you want a really beautiful, expensive looking finish, and have the time and patience, this paint is perfect.

This paint takes a long time to dry, but the finish is awesome. Don't be put off by the shiny appearance while it is drying. It will become matt. I used it to paint a fire surround and it did a great job. I have bought more for woodwork. Has an old school paint smell. I like that but some might not.

Nice matt black colour. It looks very shiny first 24h however after 48h you can see it is matt. A bit smelly and it took us few good weeks to completely get rid of the paint smell, otherwise it is a great paint and a very nice matt black! See both bottom and top in black

Overall was happy with delivery and I can use it but that said, it absolutely is not Matt.It's a true black for sure, but it's a gloss so takes forever to dry, also will ruin any brush unless you have white spirit to clean properly (I obviously had no ws left🤦)

Good find: quality, and not the most expensive. Nice traditional paint.

This stuff was really good, used it on metal garden furniture, very spreadable, goes a long way and dried nicely.
