Required to wear for 2 weeks after knee replacement surgery Totexil Compression saved my sanity!
Especially if you are in a position in healthcare that requires patients to wear Compression Stockings after surgery, please read this: My pre-operation procedure for complete knee replacement included the nurse putting me in one Compression Stocking on the leg not operated on, and informing me that I would wake up in another stocking on the surgical leg. She informed me that I would be sent home with another pair and must wear them for two full weeks post-surgery, and should hand wash the pair I had been wearing as I changed them every other day.I do not know how the nurse chose the size stocking for me, but immediately upon putting them on, I became terribly uncomfortable in the upper thigh area and informed her that it was much too tight. She said they would be uncomfortable and that it came with the necessity of keeping the stockings tight enough to control a potential blood clot. For a couple of post-surgical days, I suffered terribly, with deep gauges in my upper thigh which ultimately caused bruising. I finally called my doctor to be told that it is the number one complaint of their post-operation patients. My Physical Therapist informed me of the same thing. LET ME REPEAT THAT: I WAS INFORMED THAT DISCOMFORT OF THE COMPRESSION STOCKINGS WERE THE NUMBER ONE POST-SURGICAL COMPLAINT!I wondered if these people had ever considered why that would be, and it became my cause to find out why. Long story short, in which I purchased several pair of Compression Stockings by different manufacturers and in different sizes, I think I know why. very simply - I was not measured for the stockings which were first put on me. Finally, by taking good measurements of my legs from toe to upper thigh and reading Amazon reviews, I discovered the right fit with Totexil. From the moment I put them on although they were tight, I had no pain. I am now in my second pair, have worn them constantly except for showering, which includes sleeping in them. I don't even know that they are there and my Physical Therapist says they are exactly what is required. MEASUREMENT IS KEY! I hope this review saves many people from the pain and discomfort I went through. If you are in the medical industry and are the person who chooses the compression stockings, please buy a tape measure and put your patient in the correct size. It has become my mission to inform everyone with whom I came in contact for my surgery how important this is. BTW: I am 5'4" and weigh 165, with large upper thighs. I wear a 2XL Totexil, and was originally put in an XL by the pre-op nurse. I like the black.

Good product overall
I had to get compression stockings once again. I had used the knee highs previously, but was curious if this might work better. Overall, they work well. It is a bit more of a struggle to get it on all they way up and correctly, but they hold on and serve the purpose. I'm not thrilled with the color, but if you need a higher support, these are good.

Too tight and itchy
I ordered X-large based on measurement chart and it was too tight and also itchy. While it's too tight it still didn't stay up. But I had the experience with other compression stockings.Of course we can't know whether this is a problem specific to this product or a common more universal one.But I couldn't see giving it less than 3 stars as it might very well be fine for others. All we can do is try and return if necessary. And who knows whether more expensive products are better due to quality, who's willing to try that many or pay that much more?

Disappointed
Overall I enjoyed the feel of them, the quality seemed good; however, they were too long. They bunched at my ankle and behind my knees. I had to return them.

Mother-in-Law Loves Them
Compression stockings were recommended by mother-in-law's doctor. These matched the required specifications, and they arrived really fast. My mother-in-law is wearing them daily and says they really help. We bought another package so she will always have a clean pair available.

When they stay up ... they are nice.
My doctor said I should wear thigh-high compression socks/stockings for my diagnosed condition. Easy to find calf-high compression socks. More challenging to find thigh-high for my large calves and thighs.I was hopeful that the positive reviews would be the case for me. Sadly, they do not. The negative reviews align with my experience. In short, I hate these stockings.I followed the measurement guide, and these are too long in the foot for me. If I pull them snugly at the toe, the heel is at my ankle. The overall length is about right, as they came up mid-thigh for the size the guide said I should order. When these stay up, I can feel the compression to the top, without feeling constricted. Unfortunately, they fall to my knees almost every time I wear them.I am loathe to wear garters or use tape to hold these up but that appears to the be only option.I cannot recommend these to anyone with large legs looking for an above-the-knee compression sock/stocking. Fit guide is off. For me, they do not stay up, especially if worn under long pants.

MUY BURDAS
No me gustó su calidad, se bajan, son gruesas y con poca retención. Es decir, el tejido de la media es grueso y cerrado y su ajuste medio. Mido 1.74 y peso 70 kg.
