We run a toddler/preschool music program and like having a lot of these smaller sized maracas around. Often we use plastic ones, but since wooden maracas have a slightly different sound, we like to have some of these available as well. The kids really like the bright colors and designs on these, and they often spark some imaginative play beyond the music, with a striped one becoming a bee or being "bounced" along the ground like a ball. The maracas themselves are pretty well finished, without rough edges, and the paint was smooth and evenly colored. These are easy to clean and store, and easy for even the youngest children to hold. The wooden ones do seem slightly more likely to split open if used aggressively, but this particular set has been no more or less likely to do that than others we've had. A good choice.

You can barely hear one. You have to shake 2 to hear them. Brought these for OCC Shoeboxes because they are so beautiful and colorful, thinking I could put one in each box. I will use these with 2 to each box but I will be looking for some other ones.

These are bright, colorful, loud, and fun. No complaints. You get what you expect. Made well ..durable.

Great size and I was excited to get these to use during music time with my pre-K students. I was so disappointed as you can barely hear the rattle! Returning.

These are well decorated, look very cute, and just the right size and weight for a very small baby to grab it using his/her gripping reflex.These would also make great birthday gift bag item.The only drawback is that if you are getting these for larger kids and they will actually used as maracas, they are not very loud.5 stars.

These are fun little rattles for young kids. Love that it comes in a big pack with different designs on each one. My four-year-old has fun with them.
