Olive Wood Cork Bottle Stopper by Mastro Leonardo - Handmade in Italy (Set of 2)

Beautiful wine bottle stopper fits a standard 75 cl French wine (guigal). Think they must have changed the cork size. Highly recommend !

Too narrow for most bottles.

Nice feel and does fine

This is a nice product, and a lovely idea, but you'll need to measure the diameter of your bottle mouth carefully if you want the cork to grip the inside of the bottle it's intended for - standard wine bottle mouths are three quarters of an inch (19mm diameter).The bottom end of the cork on these measures 16mm, graduating to 18mm - the widest bit of the cork is fixed inside the wooden peg so although the stopper will sit inside a standard bottle, there won't be any grip, and it certainly won't be leakproof or airtight.This gadget will only be useful for stoppering a bottle with an opening of under 18mm - that couple of millimetres really does make all the difference between this product being any real use, or just ending up gathering dust in the clutter drawer.It's a shame the makers couldn't use a cork the next size up, then it'd be great for stoppering wine, oils or vinegars and it'd probably be a five star product.
