General impression was good BUT
Update 6/3/25. The maker crapped out, an electronics issue. Since it was only approximately 6-7 months old I requested a replacement 4/2025 and was emailed on 4/29/25 that a replacement is coming as soon as back ordered stock is available in a few weeks. I have already sent my check to cover shipping. 6/3/25 and still waiting! I inquired about a refund and will need my receipt and wait a further 6-8 weeks! For this customer service, I have changed my rating to one star. Buyer beware. For a K-cup coffee maker the cup is nice and hot. The unit is basic, no clock to reset when power is interrupted and on/off easy to use. Construction wise it is tight and lightweight. The top is hinged to the water container and feels a little weak. I actually feel the hinge is not needed and a molded in grip to remove the water container for refilling is needed. The loading of the k-cup is unique, feel like I am loading a artillery piece but so far working fine. Have only had an issue where all the cup size buttons were flashing and I could not select a size. Not sure if meant to be a low water indicator but at the time it was not low on water.

Works great
Seems to work really well, just wish the water was a little hotter.

Quality not as lasting as hoped
It’s a compact unit for sure that can still do tall tumblers but with the constant cleaning it asks for and it only last in a year I’m gonna give this a two out of five

It prefers vinegar over coffee.
Very finicky. Don't overpack the manual cups or the unit will freak out. Doesn't like most cups as it sometimes won't puncture the bottom or it ends up pushing the coffee grounds out the top of the cup.I don't use tap water however it seems it really likes to go through the descaling mode. So much that I've just decided to ignore it. Almost feels like it wants more vinegar ran through it than coffee.I always liked this brand but I'm thinking this unit it would be best just to pass on. It's a shame because it's not a really complex concept but it seems to have a lot of issues.Lasted 100 days. Calling it quits for this unit.

Good Coffee, Kind of Messy
I like the Black and Decker brand. So, even though I got 10 years out of my Keurig coffee maker and have no complaints with that brand, I decided to go with B&D. I'm giving this 4 stars, but really more like 3.5.On the plus side, it brews a good cup of coffee. I think it makes a stronger cup than my Keurig did, possibly because the water seems to pulse through the K-cup or grounds rather than a steady stream like the Keurig did, so maybe it gives the water more time to absorb the coffee flavor. (Keurig does claim to have a new "multistream technology" in some of their machines, so this might help them.) The water reservoir is big.On the bad side, there's a few things. The overall feel of the machine seems kind of cheap, whereas the Keurig felt rock sold. The middle drip tray where you can put a regular, non-travel mug is mounted too high. I have a variety of mugs, and none of them easily fit here without bumping into the nozzle. And lastly but the biggest drawback is that this machine is kind of messy. After you brew a cup, using either grounds or a K-cup, when you remove the used coffee, some coffee will drip on to your counter. The way it's designed, when you remove the used coffee, it will not drip into the drip tray, which would be bad enough, but it drips on to your counter because you have to extand the K-cup holder out to remove the used coffee, and that brings the used coffee out past the drip tray. So, keep some paper towels handy, you'll need 'em!In conclusion, it's a decent machine. The brewed coffee quality is good. But there are design flaws that lead to spillage and I'm not overly confident in it lasting for a lot of years. Getting 10 years out of a Keurig was likely more than average (brewing typically 3 cups a day), but I'd be surprised if this one last anywhere close to that.

Complete Failure
Just like the others that bought this. Had for a month & stopped working. Keurig products use to work, but the new do this same thing. My 15 plus years old Keurig works better than any of the new ones. Would like to know what's going on? How can you get this right years ago & now your products are a complete failure. I am going to use up my pods & go back to ground coffee & not have to descale anything.
