Been using it for years (10+). Best on the market in my opinion. Brilliant Consistant results, doesnt deteriorate much over time (keep refrigerated). I do wish they would sort out distribution, so you get one with the longest useby date possible. Normally 2 years from manufacture, but if you get it with 1 year left you are lucky (sitting in store for 1 year). I have had to return them before with very short useby dates of 1 month (totally unacceptable). So check the dates - its not the yeast's fault - a people thing.Apart from that its a brilliant yeast.

I read some reviews, couldn't find any of my usual yeast I used to buy from the supermarket in 100g tins, so took a punt. Stored most in the freezer as recommended and kept 100g for use. It works exactly the same, tastes exactly the same and has basically allowed us to carry on making bread and pizza dough etc at home during lockdown.It's just yeast, but it works. So that's not nothing!

Have made loads of loafs of bread (both white and brown). It works well, tastes good and looks like a never ending pack (now transferred to an airtight jar). Should last months. Good value for money if you are making loads of bread.

This is a good product, but there’s no English translation on the best before date

I had run out of yeast just before lockdown and couldn't get any locally so bought this. I was worried as I usually use the same make all the time but I am delighted with the results I have had. It is even better than my usual yeast for pizza bases so am a very happy bunny.

Did the job very well over the last 6 months, kept in fridge it lasts until the very last teaspoon full, it never fails to give a rise.

I am very pleased with this yeast. So much more flexible than using the little packets of yeast from the supermarket - there you are stuck with using the yeast in multiples of 7 grams. This is also much more economical.I have stored it in the freezer.Before buying it, I contacted the manufacturer, as I had heard that there could be ingredients derived from pork fat in yeast, which I would not want. They told me that Mauripan red label yeast does not contain any pork derivatives and it suitable for those on a kosher or halal diet.

From the date of purchase to use by it only gives me 8 months to use a 500gram bag I’m not a baker and this is for use in my home kitchen only so will probably be wasted
