So cute and functional, impressed
The media could not be loaded. I took a chance on buying this little guy and I'm glad I did. The motion control is a cool feature you need to be within 6 inches for it to detect motion. Lots of different eyes, makes cute noises. I do wish you could control the volume but nothing a little tape over the speaker won't fix. 2 AAA batteries needed for remote, robot comes with a charging cord. The intercom /walkie talkie feature is what I was looking for, but I haven't been able to get the intercom function to work. Other than that, it's a quality toy

Fun, and rechargeable
One of the best things, to me, about this little guy is being rechargeable (the robot is rechargeable and the remote uses 2 AAAs). A huge improvement over having to worry about MORE batteries. It also arrives at least partially charged. We popped in 2 AAAs into the remote and started playing right away. The robot controls pretty well. I notice a small amount of lag to the controls that my son (8) doesn't notice at all. It turns quickly when only turning, and turns more controllably when moving forward or backward at the same time. I don't know how useful the hand tracking gestures are. I mean, it's kind of fun for a minute, but then I can't think of a use-case for them. We haven't really used them since the first few minutes. I think younger kids may get a kick out of this though.Being able to program dance moves, and changing the appearance of the eyes seems to have fallen into this category for him as well. I think I know why. The main selling feature to me, and him once he found out about it, is the intercom feature. How cool is that! A robot intercom! Well, we were both let down when we found out its shortcoming. You cannot drive the robot and use the intercom at the same time. You need to physically press the button on the robot, which locks out the controls. This kind of sucked the fun out of it for us. He has tried to workaround this by writing a note so when he drives it to someone they will read it and press the button to put it into intercom mode.Everything else is good with the unit being rechargeable up front, and for a reasonable price.

Cute Robot for Young Kids
I think this is a very cool starter robot toy for a young kid. It is definitely entertaining and does take a bit of thought to play with so it will keep them engaged. I couldnt figure out how to make it dance and the 2 way communication thing wasnt great but otherwise, no issues. You do need AAA batteries which are not included.

All of my children love this
It's loud but my children absolutely enjoy playing with this. It's really durable, our toddler has been pretty rough with it. Our oldest figured it out easily and plays with it with his siblings, they all sit and play for a long time with this. Was actually really surprised at how much it keeps them occupied. They gets lots of laughs and have so much fun while using this.

nice toy, but too loud to the point that it disturbed my niece, and no way to turn down volume.
So this was a gift for my nephew. He liked it...but the controls were a little complicated (although he has special needs). The main issue...is the sound was apparently so loud...that it made my 4 year old niece upset and begin crying. So they had to put tape on the speaker as there is no way to turn the volume down. So while I am glad my nephew likes it...its obviously a failing of the device to not have volume control, and to be so loud by default as well, with no way to control that. So a little disappointed about that....although probably still a good gift if no one in the household is at all sensitive to noise.

Small robot with cool basic functions
I expected this to be a bit bigger but this is a small robot.

Better with no sound!
I love looking at this little robot and he is the cutest thing since wall-e. But the sound is loud, doesn't turn down, and it's annoying beyond belief. If there was no sound at all this would have been exponentially better. There is a very real temptation to put on sound-muffling headphones because it is ear-piercingly high and - I hope I mentioned it: annoying. The music is annoying. I like the robot overall, but the remote was not consistent with controlling it and that led to multiple exposures to the annoying music. It does move fast, so there were a few incidents involving toes treated like speedbumps that I won't get into. I can say that I never found a change in the eyes (expressions) nor was the sound in the intercom feature intelligible.

omg moment I saw this i squealed walllleeeee even if its not
Really....wait....what.....I saw this and couldnt stop myself from thinking of walleee even though its not... now flapping over the eyess or anything but you have to admit it is quite similar and I could totally lie and say i got this for my grandson or something but. I will be honest and i totally got this for myself.I didnt prewarn anyone I was about to be armed with this little battlebot.... so when it came i charged it up swiftly and put the triple a's in the remote and the house was nice and quiet with my other half on his pc gaming.... it was attack time.without warning i sent this minion of destruction and surprise zooooming down the hallway and spinning around to careen into his study and slammmmmm right into his foot.He jumped a good foot then died laying seeing this with the eyes on this making all kinds of emotional visage.this thing is awesomeon the downside.... he is now playing with it and i think I need to get a second one.. hrmphs
