Not worth the money.
A month of use and they're getting ripped from the sides.Update. After 5 months of use, I had to apply many times of superglue so the damn things don't fall apart. Thanks CAT

Hit or miss
This is the second pair my husband has bought. The first pair was excellent and lasted about a year with every day use. This second pair he has had since March 21 and it’s may 6th. He cannot wear this pair anymore. Absolutely killing his feet. He went back to the first pair and is continuing to wear those. It’s to much money to have this issue. I’m not sure if this 2nd pair is defective? We do not have money to buy more now either.

Not for mechanics nor construction workers.
I was unable to get a year out of these. These boots cant withstand heat nor solvents. The laces are trash. Very uncomfortable. These boots are for folks that works in warehouses or in offices and want to give the impression that they do tough work. MECHANICS, CONSTRUCTION WORKERS, CONSTANTLY ON YOUR FEET: Don't even think about it. Catepillar should label these "Soft work boots" or "light work boots". The soles on these became so soft, walking on p rocks became a big problem

Leather (brown) runs large and stretches!
I tried some of these on in a store and found the perfect size. When I ordered them, I ordered a different color and I guess that changed the size. The brown color (leather?) runs a bit large and stretches out so be careful! I’d order about a half size smaller maybe. I’ve been wearing these daily for at least 7-8 hours a day. They’re sturdy, not too heavy, and the steel toe is definitely strong.I highly recommend getting a different insert because the one it comes with is not comfortable at all. I also don’t think they’re waterproof so keep that in mind. Steel toe is super cold in the winter, too! I’ve had them for about three months and they already have some scrapes in toe area from daily use, so I’m not sure how long they’ll last.

Boots Better Suited For Operators
The boots came in good timing, packaged well. They lasted me about 3 1/2 months of continuous use, at about at least 5 days a week wearing them, at usually 10 hour long work days. I like that they are flexible, and easy to move around in. However, I would say they are not meant for any underground work, because sand can easily make its way inside the boot. They are not waterproof, so any exposure to water will immediately make your feet wet. I would say they are a great fit for someone predominantly operating machinery, rather than laboring.

Better than expected
To start with these boots look very good. When my son saw them he commented on their appearance and asked where who could get some. He is an electrician and was impressed with the sole and that theywere steel toe. I have been wearing them for several months and they have been very comfortable from day one. The eyelets and the top to quick ties make it super easy to tighten these up to my liking. I have worn them with thick boot socks as well as thinner socks and both felt very comfortable. After the first minute or two you forget that you are wearing work boots, they are that comfortable. I have never worn Cats before but I doubt I will ever wear any other brand of work boot in the future.

These boots can literally take a ton!
I bought this pair and will be buying others because my original pair SAVED my foot by sacrificing itself. By my count over 2,755 pounds were on my foot, ancle, and calf for over a minute. Because of these boots I was able to return to work only 3 days later after having more than a ton of weight on me! I only wish the company's website had a comment section so I could share my story with them.
