Augason Farms Peanut Butter Powder 2 lbs No. 10 Can

I'm buying can #3. It's absolutely amazing in smoothies, brownies and gourmet coffee! I haven't reconstituted it yet and used on a sandwich but we've used it multiple other ways! I bought for prepping but we like to sample what we know we'll use a lot of and so far not a single can has made it to storage!! Plan this time is to start buying enough to fix that! It's an amazing company with amazing quality! Don't get me started on the strawberries! Those haven't made it to storage either and I'm going on can 5! They're amazing in everything from oatmeal, ice cream and my favorite is right out of the can!

The peanut flavor in it is very strong. It's amazing how close it is to peanut butter with just water. This almost has the perfect ratio for my tastes. It's a little too sweet, but that's a nitpick. I haven't had another peanut butter powder that has as good of a ratio of salt, sugar and peanut powder. For the price this really can't be beat. Just because someone else mentioned the date that theirs was made, mine was only 3 months old when I got it. So it still has plenty of its 5-year lifespan left. You do need a can opener to open it which made it kind of a pain but it tastes so good I'll get over it.

YUM! I had been buying 16 oz size PB2 powdered peanut butter for over 8.99 at big box store decided to open one of my #10 cans of Augason Farms peanut butter to give it a try. Very glad I did, it is better than what I had been buying and a better price. It has the long term storage feature that I like for my pantry so I ordered a replacement can and now I have rotated the product as well as having 2lb can to use. I decanted it into two mason jars and used an oxy absorber from the can ( there were two) in each mason jar. My experience with Augason farms Freeze dried products is that when decanted this way, or vacuum sealed they will stay just fine for a year and even longer if you keep them stored in a cool dry place. I recommed this peanut butter, it mixes up nice and is spreadable. Works great in smoothies and lasts a good long time. Will continue to rotate into my pantry.

Easy to use, decent taste, and worked well for its intended use.

Stuff is great. I add it to overnight oats and this is a great value for a 2lb can. I'd rate it 5 stars but it's a little misleading that you have to select 20lbx1 or 20lbx2, which makes it seem like a huge amount. Pretty obvious for the price it isn't that large, but it skews the price/oz breakdown for the product and that is misleading when glancing through the storefront for bulk peanut powder.

So far, all of the things we have purchased by this company has been spot on as far as quality and flavor! We purchased this peanut butter powder as a mix in for our Ninja Cremi. My husband loved peanut butter everything! I have been making him Peanut butter and jelly ice cream using this powder and he absolutely loved the flavor of this powder. It mixes in nicely and does not have a gritty taste. I have also been able to use this in various recipes with no issues. It comes in a huge can that will last for ever! If you like popcorn, check out their "dehydrated butter!" We sprinkle that on popcorn and it's a complete gamechanger! We will be purchasing this along with other things from this company again in the future! A++

I got this to trial as a daily food, not as a long term food stash. I am often out of PB when needing it for recipes. This works great! It is good for a year after opening (5 yrs unopened). I’m very happy with the taste—tastes just like a good PB. And happy with nutrition—only peanuts, salt, sugar. No oil.

Just to address some concerns from other reviews: the can came packed fairly well. It was not damaged at all. It is a large can and it does need to be opened with a can opener. It did not break or even almost break my can opener. I use a manual one that doesn’t leave any sharp edges, I’m fairly weak with semi-arthritic hands and I managed to muscle the can open. The powder does not reach the top of the can, however there is a very good amount of product and that’s normal with settling. Now for the part everyone is waiting for: taste and texture. To me it tastes really good, like natural peanut butter. Very roasty. Not too sweet. I previously used Great Value which tasted rancid even when brand new. This does not. I tested just a little bit with drops of water until I got a consistency I liked. I haven’t tried yet using their recipe but I’ll try to remember to update on that if it’s runny, etc. I say use less water to begin with and add to desired consistency because we’re all different. UPDATE: made the recipe, and yes, it’s very creamy and fluffy. Very good!Overall I’m extremely pleased and would order again. I’m trying to lose weight so this is a new part of my strategy because it’s lower in calories and fat than regular peanut butter. Oh and you can’t beat this price for what you’re getting! I say go for it. I did and I don’t regret it.
