Overall, this is disappointing. The first photo was taken in the dark, and is far better than it actually looks. My camera kept compensating for the darkness, and I couldn't really capture how dark it is in person. In daylight it's very pretty (see the second photo), but because it's primarily a solar light, it fails at what it's supposed to do. If the light were brighter, or the material thinner I'm sure it could be sufficiently bright enough to earn an excellent rating. A secondary issue a quality control. You can see the tail broken on one, and part of the crest missing on another. If all you want is a pretty cardinal lawn decoration this might be good, but if you're wanting a really pretty solar light, keep looking elsewhere.

I didn't use the stakes or the solar lights because they were not very bright. My mother passed away this Oct, and she loved all animals, especially birds. Today is my first Thanksgiving without her, and I know she is loving these birds.
