I was experiencing some signal lock and delay issues with the first cable 33 feet Ruipro I bought here through Amazon. I tried three different media players, same thing. I don’t have the same issue with my other regular, non-fiber optic, certified HDMI 2.1 cable. I was going to return it to Amazon but decided to reach out to Ruipro’s customer first. I reached out to them by email explaining my issue in detail. Ruipro rushed a new replacement cable with expedited delivery. What a service!! I am happy to report that I have no issues with the new cable. Passed the Dolby Vision test from my receiver and Apple TV 4K. I noticed more color fidelity/pop with this new fiber cable vs the old copper cable, particularly noticeable in HDR and DV material giving it a three-dimensional feel, buy YMMV based on your source and display quality. I use this with a JVC projector in a dedicated bat cave theater. So far so good but I will keep testing for a few days more before running the cable through the attic.

Really amazing video quality, very impressed. HOWEVER, it failed in the wall after being in service for about 10 weeks. What's REALLY MORE amazing was their customer service. Within a couple of hours of me contacting them, they got back to me with a FREE upgrade to a newer, more advanced model. Then they OVERNIGHTED the upgraded replacement cable to me one day later. Got it this morning. All they wanted was the old cable returned (at their expense, of course) after I get it out of the wall for engineering failure analysis. WOW, you just don't this kind of customer service any more. While I'm a little disappointed the first cable failed so quickly, I'm super impressed with how they stand behind their products. I now have complete faith in this company and will buy any of their products in the future when the need arises! GO with RUIPRO!

I bought this RuiPro 8K fiber HDMI cable expecting a reliable long-run solution for my home theater. Instead, it failed after barely two months of use. I installed it carefully between my AV processor and 4K projector, and it immediately caused random audio and video dropouts. The signal would disappear, the processor would lose its surround-sound lock, and the entire HDMI handshake would collapse several times during a movie. I spent hours troubleshooting and verified the issue wasn’t the projector, the receiver, or the source devices. Replacing this cable with an older (2009) 25ft copper HDMI cable completely fixed the problem, which confirmed the RuiPro cable was the weak link. For something at this price point, it shouldn’t fail this quickly or behave this inconsistently. If you’re running a projector or any long HDMI connection, look elsewhere. This cable was a disappointment and absolutely not worth the headache.

I have high end PC with RTX4090 and got LG Oled TV (B4 4k), my old HDMi had no enough bandwight to give 4k 120hz signal, so i had 1-2second black screens. so i needed the high bandwight HDMI cable, with little daley, and it should have been 7meters of lenght to connect PC to TV. So o got this 25ft C-8K Fiber Gen3/C CL2 Rated, and it works perfectly, no delay, no signal loss. it is as good as advertised. getting 10bpc full rgb color signal - 120hz 4k without any problem or stutter. highly recommend this cable.

Purchase the CL2 (in wall rated) 65ft version in September 2021 for AV install in our home where we have AV closet about 55ft from TV. Distance is longer than recommended for traditional HDMI, so this seemed to fit the bill for our needs. Worked great for several years after install (using Yamaha receiver and Samsung 4k TV). Used CL2 as the HDMI goes in wall from AV closet to crawl space and then in wall to rear of TV. About three months ago we began to experience HDMI not connecting to TV from receiver (TV did nto detect source) when components were turned on. Would need to hard power cycle receiver to regain connection. This began happening more frequently the past two weeks, until we no longer could establish a connection between receiver and TV. Tested TV and receiver by pulling receiver from closet and moving to TV and used a standard 25ft HDMI and the connection was fine. So, the issue is this cable. Just contacted the manufacturer for warranty replacement as they calim 5 year and still in that window. I intentionally routed the cable via conduit in the walls of AV closet and TV as I was worried about longevity. So although they claim CL2 rating, I'd advise having a plan/design to replace these cables when they die and for future upgradability. knocked three starts b/c of short lifespan. We'll see if they are good on warranty. Maybe pure fiber MPO with HDMI extenders is the way to go for near permanent, long term solution. Update 2/11/25 After multiple emails to Ruipro (both sales and support adresses) with Amazon sale invoice, they have failed to fulfill and honor 5 year warranty. They do not have a voice number so only option is email. The first I did receive a cryptic reply a week after sending about customer emails going to spam. Then no responses with three additional email follow up about claim status. Suffice to say I cannot wait anylonger to replace the cable and went HDbaseT route and will never purchase another wire from this company again. Revised to 1 star only for fact that cable did work for three years, but zero warranty support or customer service. Update 2/17/25 Ruipro reached out to my original email a day or so after my 2/11 update and indicated they had not received any of my follow up emails. Assume the reply was in response to my 2/11 update. Used my alternate email to provide shipping and they did respond and sent a replacement cable (rec 2/17). So they did honor warranty claim and adjusting review.

Solved the issue I was having with a similar length copper HDMI cable that had solid specs but would have handshake issues. This cable did start to have its own handshake/flickering issues after 13 months working perfectly, but I was able to resolve the issue within DAYS when I contacted Ruipro support.

Awesome product just the right one for my Hisense C2 Projector. It works perfectly well with the soundbar and makes a whole lot of difference. It’s worth it.!!

I did have some problems with HDCP black screen flashing when connecting to things like netflix from my PC. Now this may be a problem with my TV or video card so I can't say for sure if it's the cable, but I can say that they sent me a new cable for free. Aside from that, the performance of the cable is great. I run at at 120/4k from across the room and never any signs of artifacts of signal dropping.

This fiber optic hdmi cable is great. No lag, no issue. Works perfectly. I had purchased 2 cables (50ft and 25ft), and one started to cut audio and video intermittently for a few seconds about 4 months after purchase. So I contacted ruipro customer service and explained the defect, and they sent a replacement to my house within 2 days. This is great customer service, and the product works flawlessly. Would purchase again

The CL2 black cable is flame retardant and may be required by law for various in-wall installations. However, if you're not doing an in-wall installation, don't get the CL2 cable. It is made of PVC to meet the CL2 specification, but what they don't tell you is that this cable offgasses a strong vinyl chloride odor, which is a carcinogen. The odor also gets all over your hands when you handle it. I couldn't get rid of this odor even after washing the cable and leaving it exposed to sunlight for the day. The green version of this cable, which isn't CL2 rated, doesn't have this issue. So for the sake of your health, get the green cable and not the CL2 cable.

Finally got it out of the box but this cable will not function with a yamaha rx v6a receiver with a epson 2350 projector ...all I get is sound no video???wasted hours thinking it was my setup ,not sure what is going on but this cable is real light not much to it!! Tried a cheaper 4k cable and boom my theatre came to life!! ****UPDATE July6 2025 Well to my surprise I had a peak inside the box and found documentation that this was a 1 way cable...totally forgot about this as i bought it quite awhile ago and you must make sure you hook it up properly or it won't work right at all as the source end or the display end must be hook up accordingly...This cable is great after all and quality is definitely much better than cheaper cable I had A+++++ recommended buy
