Mont Marte Manikin Male 30cm - Body Doll, Wooden Puppet - Flexible Mannequin as a Model for Drawing - Ideal Painting and Drawing Aid

This is a pretty decent quality manikin which I bought for my partner who was showing a renewed interest in drawing. The model is a good size, well-made and quite easy to put in various poses. The quality of the wood and the joints is good, with enough stiffness in the joints for it to maintain poses. The proportions of the model seem good with it being a nice representation of the human form for drawing. Aside from its use as an aid for your artistic side it also looks pretty cool as an ornament! This is a nice quality item for learning at a good price.

Great product. Good for drawing figures, does the job when you need some reference. Can do fairly complicated poses, for a simple mannequin.

I’ve included a video where I move the joints into different poses to give you an idea of what it can do. Most standing poses work well, and you can also get it into a sitting pose. It doesn’t lean forward from the hips quite like a real person would - but you can still lean it a bit forward (see video). There are plenty of pose options for a beginner / intermediate artist learning to draw the human body in proportion, which is exactly where I’d place myself. I'm only a hobbyist. This is probably not for advanced or professional artists, but for my purposes, it's ideal, and it was good value for money in my opinion. At my level of ability, it's not worth paying any more. It’s also just a nice-looking object. We keep it on our bookshelf in the sitting room and change the pose every so often. Today, it looks like it’s giving a lecture (see photo)!

I bought this for my daughter to model clothes on. She is delighted with it. It appears to pose well in natural positions and looks well proportioned.

If you want an ornament or to draw figures standing up straight (maybe waving their arms about) then this would be fine. It doesn’t work for action poses. The legs hardly move at all (the hips are glued in). The head/neck is very stiff and doesn’t move easily. The shoulders move but you can’t move the elbows more than 90 degrees. Some joints make nasty graunchy noises when you try to move them. The torso moves ok. Fans of contraposto should avoid.

Arrivato puntuale. Il prodotto corrisponde alla descrizione. Ben rifinito. Unico appunto fatto anche da altri: manca lo snodo laterale delle anche, che è presente invece nelle braccia. Non è possibile porvi rimedio perchè le parti sono incollate. Comunque il prodotto lo ritengo valido.
