With this CA079 grip, Neewer has taken their previous grip for the Nikon Zf and dramatically improved it simply by a subtle redesign of the front grip angle and with the all-important addition of a rear thumb grip. The change to the front makes the camera easier to hold when not in a shooting position (it's more squared off from the camera body) and the rear thumb grip is small but very well designed to provide a very secure hold by your thumb on the body. The addition of this means you don't have to squeeze the grip like you did on Neewer's earlier effort, and this dramatically reduces fatigue when carrying and shooting with the camera. As someone who has owned all the major grips for the Zf (including Nikon's own Zf-GR1), this new Neewer grip is the best of the lot, and the most comfortable to use. They also added a touch more space around the SD card making it easier to remove that as well.

I personally think this NEEWER grip is better than SmallRig. It is slidely smaller grip size which is better fit for Nikon Zf retro looking and sametime provide enough grip to increase handling. The red accent is perfect for Nikon camera design style. Have you notice all the Nikon Digital camera body has red accent? oh. The price is very good in comparison with SmallRig one. Recommended.

I have the three Neewer variants and here are some of my thoughts.The OG CA073/CA063:I've had this one since I've had the ZF. It works fine and I'm able to hook grip it and carry a 150-600 and 70-200. Its better than nothing but nowhere as nice as even my Z30's grip. The main issue I have is that its not a very deep grip and that's exacerbated by the angle where your fingertips rest. Along with it not being grippy, it just requires more work to really keep a good grip on it.I like the look of the red line and it works great with smaller grips.For the longest time it was a little annoying that the only integrated thumb grip one comes from Japan and is 3 times the price.CA07:I saw this and the CA134 on Amazon and was very excited to try it out. I immediately bought both, but only CA07 was available immediately.The CA07 is the CA063 with a thumb grip. Almost everything else is similar. It does remove the cold shoe and tripod mount on the side. I think this one is the better looking of all three and has the thumb grip. Unfortunately it has the same grip shape and for me the grip material was slicker. The thumb grip helps, but it didn't feel different enough overall to the CA063.CA134:So off the bat this one has the better shaped grip and grip material. The material is very similar to my z30 although not as deep. The shape allows your fingertips to rest in a shallow indent. The red line isn't there either and the grip goes straight to the camera body so it feels slightly deeper than the other two grips. This grip also has 3 tripod attachment points on the side.One odd design is the lack of a tool-less mounting screw. On the bottom it comes with a magnetic tool to remove thescrew. This one is my preferred grip.

What a difference! This really improves the ergonomics of the NIkon Zf - I only wish it came in the matching body color (I have a blue camera) but it's not a big deal. Highly recommend!

Based on a review I read I thought the Neewer grip would be the answer to my panning issue with the Zf. I get a very low keeper rate with the camera when it comes to panning race cars. My D500 gives considerably better results. After taking thousands of shots comparing the two cameras I've come to the conclusion it's an ergonomics problem. I use the Smallrig grip currently. Smallrig's grip is much better when it comes to the material used for slippage but still too small to hold the camera comfortably when panning. My hands are of average size so still searching for a solution. Otherwise I love the camera.Sending this one back.I was too harsh in my initial one star rating. I stand by what I say above but I changed my rating to 3 stars.

Looks guhd. Feels Guhd. Works Guhd. Really good price ($20). Makes your Zf look like an F3. Cool stuff. Soft release button is a nice touch. Not a fan of the aperture design on top. Rather have it with nothing on there but the button is solid. If you own a Zf you should really get this.

Fits perfect and looks great on the ZF. As anyone who has a ZF will tell you, the factory ergonomics are terrible with the weight of the camera. This grip balances it out just right. Have gotten many compliments on it giving that classic nostalgic look of the infamous Nikon F3 with the vertical red stripe. Great call on Neewers part to add that. It’s the main reason I chose it over the smallrig version.
