Trixie Playing Rod with Feathers, 50 cm

My 15 month old cat LOVES this, he is very playful but often loses interest in a toy pretty soon. Not this one. He loves it above all his other 'chaser' toys, he will chase it and chew it, to the point it only has one feather left, and a little bit of shiny paper. Even in this state, he prefers it to a brand new one i bought him, with long fluffy tails coming out the end. It has lasted pretty well considering its cheap price and the amount he plays with it. Will definitely re buy again and again,

Great and inexpensive toy, for when the cat (and you) need a bit of R n' R. We have two nervous cats that we're fostering and this toy did the trick in bringing them "out of their shell"Update: just bought two more, and after only a few uses, the shaft on one teaser snapped in half and the rubber shroud holding the feathers in place has come loose. I suspect this may be down to the fairly rough treatment the teasers get. Our cats like to stalk them when we put the feathers under a rug.Update 30/01/2016: 2 years on, and we are still fostering cats for the RSPCA. We've had another 9 cats in-between and the latest LOVES this toy. Cats need to be teased into playing with it, so you need to move slowly to "pique" their interest. After that you can twirl it around you and she'll chase it no end.They do vary in quality, but in the main, we find they last 2-3 weeks. This depends on how you play with them. If the feather stick is going to be hiding under something and pounced upon then expect feathers to fall off more frequently, otherwise some casual twirling around will make the toy last a little bit longer.

This is a very simple cat toy but the simplicity is part of why it works. Both of my cats love this to bits and fight over whose turn it is to play with it. Unfortunately the fluffy feathery stuff at the end doesnt last too long with a couple of boisterous cats going at it but the price is such that replacements arent too onerous on the pocket.

Our two bengal kittens love this toy, this toy is great, no doubt about it. But it could really do with better quality... After the first 30 minutes the little tip at the end fell off. After about 30mins to 1 hour of play the toy broke, yes, it literary broke. Ca 5cm of the plastic broke off. Then the next day, playing with the kittens, another 5cm broke off. So After 2 days we can't use it any more. I personally find this to be in that case a really bad product. It's a product designed for cats all ages to 'play' with, but it's poor quality doesn't messure up. So unless you can afford buying one of these every week, or plan on playing with them really carefully(which I don't think will do any difference since these were KITTENS who broke it), this product isn't for you, you should try to find a higher quality one. I really wish the quality was better, because this toy would have been wonderful. But, money talks.Pro.1. It's feathers make this toy really fun for cats.2. Cat's love it!Cons.1. Absolutely dreadful. Have had these in the past from other sellers and they have previously been ok. However this batch were not worth pennies, let alone the £2.99 each I had to pay for them.Both teasers broke completely within literally 2 minutes of play. With not much force or effort at all the poor cat managed to pull the entirety of the tip off the end of the stick as soon as he got near it, the plastic is also weak and instantly split/cracked.When I looked the the possibility of re gluing the tip back on, the feathers promptly dropped out in a gluey clump. Both of them did this. What a waste of £5.98, they both had to be binned the same day they arrived. Avoid..***I refer the the teasers ordered from Fish Around.... as Amazon will not allow me to review the two company's I have ordered these items from separately. Do not confuse with other sellers***

FIRSTLY CAME CELLOTAPED INTO THE PACKET AND THE FEATHERS STUCK TO THE INSIDE OF THE SLEEVE.WHEN I DID MANAGE TO CUT IT OUT OF THE PACKET THE END OF THE ONE TEASER HAD NO FEATHERS ON IT.I USED SOME INSULATION TAPE TO RESTICK IT, WHICH HAS NOW DONE THE JOB, BUT MUST ADMIT CAT NOTIMPRESSED AS THERE ARE HARDLY ANY FEATHERS ON EITHER STICK, HAVE BOUGHT BETTER BEFORE FOR LESS MONEY.

If you have a cat - of any age - you need this item!! It is super fun for them - they go mad for the feathers and run around after it and roll on backs to fight it!!It is well made - but you do have to make sure to dispose of any feather that fall out before your cat eats them!!! Supervision is usually best with this toy - plus it is a toy for playing and interacting with your little one so it makes for excellent bonding and fun time!Your cat will love the toy so much you'll be buying more than one for when it wears out!!They ae well made, strong plastic wands that don't break!! and it is pretty durable - which is good when it's for a ferocious feather fighter like my litte boy!! Also they make great little xmas pressie's for them!!!

I bought two of these from another seller, PetStuffGalore, and they came properly packaged and were good quality. My cats loved them , they are not indoor cats but if you have an indoor cat this teaser is a must have.However BEWARE: not all sellers are the same, Amazon puts all these toy feather teasers under the same code so when I bought it again I was not aware it was a different seller. This time round it arrived without its packaging , it smelt disgusting and fell to bits in one hour. Very disappointed. Next time I will check the seller as clearly the same product is not the same if the seller is different.
