Two thumbs up!
Works great! Easy to find and push button. No co.plicated directions for someone in crisis to remember. Very clear and loud speaker and great mic.

Spectacularly awful
I bought this device after calling Medical Guardian looking for a device that would work well in a place with lots of 5G and little 4G cell coverage. This device needs good 4G. But that’s not the most troubling issue. This device needs regular charging but does not have a charge indicator onboard— it needs to be in its charging cradle. It has a side switch for testing, but the side switch also can turn the device off. Pressing the main “I’ve fallen and can’t get up!” button yields hit or miss results ranging from nothing to beeping to reporting there is not a good (4G) cell signal. The big button is mostly uninformative but occasionally flashes orange. I cannot imagine non tech-oriented seniors depending on this device and would not trust it in an emergency.Medical Guardian’s unresponsiveness on the phone makes the device’s problem worse. I’m an existing customer and can’t get past the hold music when I try to get help with this device or advice about other potential solutions. This doesn’t provide much reassurance that an emergency call for help will be heeded.

Gives me peace of mind
I bought this unit for my 82 year-old grand father who is very independent and likes to go on long walks. But he has been starting to randomly pass out and fall more and more lately. I was shocked when I got a call the less than a week after I set it up. Sure enough he had fallen while on his walk and no one was around. For the fall detection it’s Worth its weight in gold at this point being able to get him help quickly.

Have to return because it’s useless for me
The MgMini will not work for me because it keeps saying the cell signal is poor and will do nothing. I called their service department and told them I have a strong cell signal and was using it to talk with them. They said the antenna in the unit is half the size of a cell phone’s antenna and has little to do with cell phone strength. He said it will not typically work in houses with metal or brick or in the woods with trees. If you buy this make sure to test it everywhere you typically go otherwise if you fall in the wrong place it will not work.

You have to pay a monthly subscription price
More money monthly than I thought. I was expecting no monthly payment.

Substantial weight but not too heavy
Sturdy, professional quality construction. I'm giving this to a relative that is in need of one so I haven't set up the active system yet. What I did appreciate about it is that you will always be aware of where it is and won't have to hunt for it because it is so lightweight that you lose track of it.I've been on home health care twice where they wanted me wearing a watch type alarm or a necklace. The necklace has the advantage of not getting triggered by accident like the wrist band type do...those things go off when you bump them during normal activities...nuisance. But while the necklace type I was given didn't accidentally go off, it was light weight and often got twisted in clothing because it was so easy to catch up into a shirt or sweater. I really like the feel of this and wish I'd had something of this more substantial nature than the ones I had to use. Bottom line....I'm impressed with the quality of the construction.

Not worth it
We are paying extra for "Fall Protection" & mom's fallen "4" times & her necklace didn't go off. So I don't recommend paying for that but the necklace is ok.
