Easy install looks good
Pricy for what it is but what can I say. It does what it says and is easy to hook up. I live in the southwest so it is definitely a benefit for me.

Works as designed.
Installation was quick and easy, just be sure to get it in the middle by making sure the gap is the same on both sides before you give it the final tighten. Must be installed with the Bestop Sunrider for hardtop. Awesome sunshade!!!

Works great noticeably shrinks how "open" things feel, even with sunscreen retracted
Technically, this worked exactly as advertised and I had no trouble installing it, expanding or retracting it, and it even adds an unexpected benefit of making the underlying Sunrider a lot studier and therefore easier to remove and remount if you're someone who likes pulling on and off the Sunrider as frequently as you might with the freedom panels. All that said, the one thing I didn't like about it is how far forward within the Sunrider it protrudes. One thing I already didn't liked about the Sunrider was that the opening, when it's in open position, isn't quite as big/wide as when you have the freedom panels off. This sunscreen is mounted further forward, not even quite flush with the canvas top of the Sunrider when it's open, meaning that the size of the opening compared to having freedom panels off is further reduced. That was enough for me personally to choose to return the sunscreen and just stick with the base Sunrider only.

Great idea. TERRIBLE implementation.
I was stoked to see this item listed. Initially seems like a great idea. However, this is the worst possible attempt they could have made. Construction is fine I guess, but feels like a $30 sunshade. Not exactly confident in it's durability. The screws in the shade that have to anchor to the mounting brackets are a millimeter too short. Which was INFURIATING when trying to install. Just trying to get the washers and nuts onto the screws took me like 45 minutes of struggling and cursing Bestop. Literally ruined my afternoon. And then after it was installed, i was super unhappy with it's placement. Not only does it make your opening about 3-4 inches smaller, which was already a minor complaint with the sunrider to begin with, but it's RIGHT in the way of where you would reach up to let the top up or down. I was speechless when I saw the finished product... Needless to say, after a now pointless and infuriating install, this garbage is coming off and going right back to amazon. Bestop should be ashamed. This needs to go back to R&D and have someone with a brain, and maybe an actual Jeep take a look at this. At $50 I could maybe overlook these flaws. But not for $200. Shame on you Bestop.

Great product!
This is a wonderful compliment to my B stop soft top. It helps with the wind and helps with the sun. Easy to use and well worth it.

More Versatile Than Advertised
While designed for the Sunrider, and I do use one with a Sunrider on my Gladiator I liked the product so much I modded it to fit with my TrekTop on my Wrangler. It’s quite simple. Assemble per instructions but enlarge the rear hole on each bracket and align with the mounting hole for the hard top on the roll bar and reuse a hard top bolt on each side. See pics attached. The shade extends plenty far enough for this alternative placement!!

Bestop Poor Quality Control
Like some other reviewers have written, the bracket anchor screws are too short. The instructions shows that the flat and lock washers are both required for each screw when attaching the brackets to the screen housing. I’m no hardware expert but I was a construction site superintendent for 15 years so I know a thing or two about screws, flat washers and lock washers… Something is not right. Quality control at Bestop has had a lapse. One would have to make a compromise and pick either the flat washer or the lock washer to attach the acorn nut. It’s not worth it. Shop around. Maybe some other manufacturer can improve on this design but for now, I can’t recommend.
