Battery review
It’s much better than the last ones I’ve had it lasts much longer and I have used it twice without charging it worked fine.

Improvement over battery that came with light
This is a better battery than came with the light. It holds more power so I charge it less. Only real improvement I can see would be to include a push button meter like drills all have now. This has a hard shell vs the original that had a rubber surround but it also is shaped so it can strap to the bike well. My only worry is that it might crack or something if it’s dropped or somehow were to fall off the bike which isn’t very likely. It’s a little bigger in size compared to original battery as well. When I use the light as a headlamp instead of on the bike I just Velcro the straps around my belt and it works well enough for me. Makes for a nice light for long hikes, the run time outweighs the weight of the light for me as I need no extra batteries.One note but might be perceived and not real: seems to hold charge best when you keep the light unplugged when not in use.Recommend for anyone who has the original battery, plus having two batteries means it’s never an issue on longer rides. Keeps you good and visible at night.

The Best Customer Service!
We love our Bright Eyes lights, but needed a new charger. I went to the Bright Eyes website and sent them a note on Saturday and had a new charger on Tuesday. They have the most responsive customer support I have ever seen!

Works Great!
I had the original bright eyes lights five years ago or more. Had to get different lights because the battery would not run for two hours. This new bigger battery has yet to even run low after two hours.

Solid construction, good capacity
Has the rated capacity, weatherproof, works as advertised and they seem to have fixed the problematic connector on the older revisions where the contacts would slowly corrode over time.It does seem to have a higher self-discharge than I would've liked, but I commute by bike on a near-daily basis, so it gets charged almost every night anyway.

Tested it out after a rise to see how much longer it had. 7 hrs on high. Pretty impressive.
