Works well on pu coated nylon
This tape works well when trying to waterproof a rain jacket. I have used it on pu coated nylon as well as waterproof breathable fabric. Just iron it on with a medium temperature setting while assembling the clothing. Both jackets were tested in the shower first, then on rainy backpacking trips.

Hot melt seam repair
I like this product. However I did struggle to have it stick to where I wanted it to some of the time. I am not sure if it was the material or what was allowing it to hold in some spots and not others.

I am very happy with this tape.
Bought this tape to finish seams on a diaper wet bag. I set my iron at polyester , used parchment paper to cover the iron plate. With trimming the seam to a scant 1/4 inch I was able to seal both sides at once. I protected my PUL with cloth because it would have melted. I played with scraps first to check technique and tune the temp. The side of the tape that is shiney is the glue side. I'm not a seamstress, but this tape was easy to use. I recommend it. There is plenty of tape to do several projects. Loved the smiley pin that was enclosed.

Doesn't work for Pertex
I bought this product to repair a Montane waterproof jacket which is made of Pertex, because the original tape came off in the process of washing and resealing it. Unfortunately this product doesn't work for Pertex. As I learned In the process of trying to use it, it does stick to cotton very well.7/27/2021 RevisionAfter much research, trial and error I figured why the tape originally didn't stick to my jacket so I raised the rating from 3 to 4 stars. The Nikwax product recommended for washing and sealing Pertex material comes in two bottles - a washer and a sealer. I used both and in the process, the original tape separated as a result. When I tried to reseal it using and iron, it was partly the wax in the sealant and partly the lower iron setting that prevented both SUNDELY tape and the original tape from sticking to the jacket. In round 3 of experimentation, I rewashed the jacked, but didn't apply the sealant. Neither tape would still stick to Pertex until I raised iron temperature setting to wool and applied the iron for 25 seconds. In previous attempts, SUNDELY tape would stick to cotton on a much lower heat setting after only 10 seconds. One lessoned learned from this is that I didn't really need SUNDELY tape - I could now reapply the original tape, given the proper heating level and proper time of iron application. Now, this whole process is fraught with danger. Pertex consists of the outer and inner layers. On one occasion when I applied the iron for 30 seconds, it melted not only the tape, but the inner layer of Pertex. Fortunately, it was a narrow short strip along a seam. I then had to reapply another piece of SUNDELY tape to seal it. One could see this spot a more transparent from outside with a light source against it, but under normal circumstances it's not very visible. My advice to others - first wash off any sealant. Then try reapplying the original tape, slowly raising the temperature. If you cut off and dispose the original tape, then apply an aftermarket tape such as SUNDELY to required areas.Caveat: I still need to seal the jacket with Nikwax sealant. If the original jacket tape or SUNDELY tape separate again in the process, I will revisit this review and Nikwax review and lower ratings to 1 star as it would prove that Pertex simply should never be washed with Nikwax combo and that retaping materials that have to be sealed is useless - so they never can be washed!!!I'd love to know if any other breathable materials such as Gortex (or whatever is the best nowadays) are prone to the same issues.

Works well.
Worked great. The tape on the seams of my raincoat was coming off in some areas. I was able to replace the missing areas and help hold down some loose areas. Used low to medium heat on the iron. I found it helpful to press on the tape right after ironing while it was still hot to make sure it stuck well.

Easy to use, great results
Product worked perfectly for alterations I made to a pair of waterproof/breathable rain pants. Used my Clover mini-iron with a piece of uncoated parchment paper between the iron and the tape to protect both fabric and tape from melting.

Really good product worked well on my fleece backed waterproof fabric
Really good product worked well on my fleece backed waterproof fabric. However, there was this other fabric (not sure the content) it would just refuse to stick to.
