They just keep getting better
This book is emotional, heartbreaking, and wonderful. I just adore reading books by this author. After finishing this one, I am eager to revisit "Part of Your World." However, it's important to note that this book contains many triggers, so I suggest checking out what some of those triggers are before diving in.Emma ended up in foster care as a child but was ultimately fortunate to find herself in a supportive foster home that adored her and wanted to adopt her. However, Emma wasn’t ready to give up on her mother and didn’t want to be adopted. Emma and her best friend Maddy, both nurses, travel around taking different work assignments all over the country. They usually stay in one place for three months and seek out interesting places to stay. On a whim, Emma and Maddy decide to comment on a post by Justin on Reddit, leading to an exchange of banter between Emma and Justin. This interaction makes Emma consider traveling to Minnesota for the summer to see if they can break their mutual curse of dating people only to find out the last person they dated found their soulmate. The storyline is entertaining but also explores the difficult topics of trauma from being abandoned as a child and striving to live a full life despite it.Having had a difficult childhood myself, I could really relate to Emma's desire to be small and invisible. I thought this was portrayed in a very authentic manner.I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for my copy to arrive, as this book is definitely a keeper. My biggest dilemma now is waiting for the author's next book – UGH.

Dirty
The book arrived covered in glue and dirt at the back, it kind of looks like it’s second hand.
