What size screws fit in this finch feeder?

No screws are needed to hang - you simply insert the plastic sticks through the middle so they create places for the birds to land and sit while eating, hang it up to an existing post or hanger (after filling it, of course).

Is the tube itself 15 inches or does that include the metal hanger? How long are the perches. The perches on the 35" feeder look longer.

For the price you get a good product. Is about 15 inch plus hanger. Perches are great for 1 bird only. They are not designed for 2 birds. Just buy it and enjoy life without every detail. It’s just a bird feeder. At times I have 8 birds fighting for a landing spot.

Can this be pole mounted, or is it strictly a hanging feeder?

If the pole is horizontally mounted, I should think the feeder could be placed at the end. There should be a hook or some hardware to keep the feeder secure.

Is the plastic tube part of this feeder soft or hard?

It is hard plastic......and rain water does NOT collect in the bottom of it ( like my old ones ) I had to buy more Thistle seed yesterday, they are going through it!!!! I hope you get one and ENJOY watching GOD’S birds!
