It is ideal for beginner or moderate skill level and would make a solid gift for someone who wants to do yoyo tricks.If you don't know what an unresponsive yoyo is, it is one where when the yoyo is down, it spins without coming back by itself and you have to use a technique called a bind to get it to come back up.This is key to doing cool yoyo tricks and you cannot really use anything other than an unresponsive yoyo for those. If you've never used one before, it will take a bit of practice before you learn how to do the bind.So this yoyo is a great all rounder, its not too heavy so if it hits your hand it wont be that bad compared to some others.It has a really good bearing and a long spin time of at least a minute. It comes with a perfect carry case and a bunch of spare strings.The price is really reasonable and I've paid more and got less in the past with other yoyos, so at this price it is well worth it, especially with the extras that come with.The only negatives I could say is that it wobbles slightly and could be a bit heavier, but really as soon as you start saying things like that you're moving more in to professional yoyos which would cost a lot more than this and wouldn't be so suitable for beginners. When I saw the box first, I thought 'uhoh' its going to not be that great and would be a bit kiddy, but really it is top quality and capable of very many tricks.Totally recommended, ideal gift as well.

I have been admiring yoyo tricks for a long time and could not possibly miss the opportunity to learn a bit more about yoyoing when I've seen this set. The whole set I've received look like quite good quality, the yoyo itself is cool looking and accompanied by a dozen, bright coloured strings. The package also includes a sturdy and useful carry case and a special yoyoing glove, too. I am a total beginner, and very happy with the starter pack provided. I am not quite able to perform any tricks yet, but the yoyo seem to respond well to the movements and spins for long enough to let a learner figure out the right moves for the beginner tricks. Good product, and can make a nice gift idea as well.

My partner always like to show our little ones how to do tricks on a yo-yo, this is a great example of a yo-yo and came in a fancy storage case.

This yoyo comes in a slightly disappointing box (it really could be better!).Once opened however, the yo-yo is actually beautiful as a lovely metallic deep blue colour.My son is over the moon with his.He had a responsive yoyo which he's been learning tricks with but wanted to progress to a non-responsive one to expand his trick horizon.So far this one fits that perfectly as a first progression yoyo from responsive to non-responsive.The bearings appear to be really good (and pretty quiet) and so as a beginner you're given a decent amount of time which the yoyo is spinning away to try and get your tricks in.The strings could be slightly better for the price of the yoyo but there are plenty of them supplied and so it'll be a while before we wear them all out and search for better quality strings long term.At around £20 (there's currently a voucher to bring it below £20) this is priced at the right sort of level as there are a lot of other alternatives (both cheaper and more expensive) but this is priced correctly in my view.

The word “unresponsive” seems to be such a negative thing to put in a review, but its actually the term for a yo-yo that (on purpose) does not come back in the conventional way. I learned this after buying this.Luckily it was an extra stocking filler and kids had both gotten similar yo-yos too so we could swap them around, but this could be frustrating if you don’t know your responsive yo-yo from your unresponsive yo-yo. It’s not for beginners, unless they are willing to do some learning up front.This is a really nicely made yo-yo with a lovely matt finish. It comes in a carry case and has loads of spare strings in lots of colours. There are also accessories explaining (to fools like me) what an unresponsive yo-yo is and what you need to do to get it to come back. What it doesn’t have (that the responsive yo-yos did have) is a set of spare bearings. I honestly can’t see this being a big deal. I doubt I will be yo-yoing so much I wear out the bearings in it.So this is a really lovely thing, miles ahead of the yo-yos of my youth, but it needs some learning and practice.

This yoyo no only looks good, but also works very well, it comes with a storage case, spare strings and a black glove. It is a bit pricey, but with all the spare strings it should last quite some time. This woulds also make a good present for any yoyo fan.
