Good punch for heavy paper, cardstock or PVC
My first impression of this punch is that it has a very heavy industrial feel and appearance. It is very similar in materials and construction to those old swing line stapler’s from back in the day. Very solid. The punch has a deep throat to allow for punching holes a full 1 inch from the edge. A handy and thoughtful feature that I liked is the bar on the side to adjust this distance and acts as a backstop to the material being punched. This bar has a slot which slides along a knurled thumbscrew that holds the bar in place at the desired adjustment and is very easy to turn. The punch came shipped with a ring of soft plastic to hold the handles in the compressed position. I think I would prefer something a little more permanent to perform that function for storage purposes but I'm guessing that would probably wear out the spring, which is why they don’t do that. At least, that’s my theory.Speaking of the spring, the unit also comes with a spare replacement spring. I decided to store the spring inside the bottom handle where it fits nicely and held it in place with a wire twist tie from a loaf of bread (see pic). I figured that if I do not store it with the tool, I would definitely lose it before it was needed.I tried the punch out on a few different materials including various paper weights, cardstock, plastic binding comb and a laminated piece of 3mm cardboard. The punch performed well on a but the cardboard which I think was too soft for a clean cut. The holes on all the other materials, though, had crisp clean edges. The punch also came shipped with a countersink drill bit kit. This mini-kit came with a 5/16” (8mm) countersink with a 5/16”(8mm) shank, two 7/64”(2.78mm) drill bits, and a 3/32”(2.4mm) allen wrench for the set screws. It also includes a drill bit stop collar with a 7.24mm (9/23” closest inch equivalent) hole which does not fit anything in the kit, which is odd. I am not exactly sure why the punch comes with the little drill mini-kit, but it is a decent quality tool that I will find a use for. The only connection I can see between the two is that the countersink has an 8 mm diameter just like the punch. All things considered, though, both tools are of good quality, and I will definitely find lots of uses for both.

Great Big Hole Puncher!! :D
This 8mm heavy duty hole puncher by AGUZXTM is excellent! I am a teacher and was working on a project where I needed to hole punch a few hundred notecards for my students. Well, I started out with a regular run-of-the-mill hole puncher & it just did NOT cut it for me (no pun intended). I was able to do about 10 notecards at a time comfortably. However, with this new heavy duty hole puncher from AGUZXTM, I found I was able to put a hole through 16-17 notecards per punch; thereby decreasing the overall amount of time required to complete this project. So, OBVI, I am a happy camper!! :DIn addition, I also appreciate that this product can create a hole size that is larger than what a typical $2 hole puncher can produce.Lastly, this heavy duty hole puncher comes with additional tools that will help assist you during various hole punching projects. First, it has an embedded scale right on the puncher itself to assist in measurements. Second, it comes with a little nifty tool that helps get the excess material out after you've hole punched something (which is very helpful, as I've found that the excess material tends to get stuck afterwards). What's more, it comes with an extra spring (just in case the first one breaks, I'm guessing...?) & a couple other little practical tools that look fairly important & probably beneficial in some capacity; but, since I haven't needed to use them yet, I'm not really sure what they're intended for....?! 😂 😂 Consequently, I hope I'll never need to find out! BUT, if I ever do, I have them...just in case! 🤣Overall, I'm pleased with this product, and thankful it's proving to be quite the time-saver! 😊

Very impressive!
I was very impressed with the hole-punching power of this item. It's much more capable than a typical hole punch for paper, although it can be used for paper also. I punched a hole through a 30-page magazine, with very little effort, and the hole was very "clean"! The main limitation seems to be the approx 3.5mm space between the upper and lower portions (see photo). What's also nice is the adjustable depth gauge, so that the hole will be punched a set distance from the back edge of the material. I do with it was labeled with numbers, like a ruler, instead of simply having lines. (Each small line is 1mm.) The lines measure to 30mm, but because of the screw that holds the depth gauge in place, the maximum depth seems to be about 23 or 24mm. The measurement is from the CENTER of the hole.Another benefit is the extra spring that it ships with it, in case the original breaks or wears out.

Nice Punch!
It is a nice punch that does what is intended very well and with little effort as it easily punches through quite heavy materials. I especially like that you can see precisely where the punch is going to be. I use it often on printed cardstock and I need to be able to align the patterns. The drill bit and countersink were a surprise addition I, at first, did not understand the purpose. I soon realized the significance for using on furniture builds to conceal the screws.

Heavy Duty Hole Puncher
I finally found a heavy duty 10mm hole puncher that works very well! I have struggled and broken so many hole punchers but this one works very well on thicker materials. I definitely recommend this hold puncher for anyone who needs to punch through thicker materials like faux leather.
