Great replacement for classic American Apparel 50/50 T-Shirt Same fit. Same quality construction. New poly/cotton/rayon mix textile is lightweight, drapes smoothly, high-end feel. Bought it in 'black' - which in person is dark charcoal grey marl.

Another reviewer very helpfully said they found this a good replacement for the 50/50. That’s exactly what I’m replacing. I didn’t find it a great replacement myself. This one is 25% cotton instead of 50% and it feels thinner and more slinky. I have not worn it as I decided to return it, but I worry it would get smellier sooner, having a higher amount of synthetic materials. It is also noticeable longer than my medium 50/50 t-shirts. Good if you like that, or tuck it in your trousers. I also tried ordering the ”CVC” model which is 60% cotton and that’s a lot closer to my old 50/50s. Closer in length, thickness and slinkiness. They’re all quite close in colour (dark grey).

American Apparel shirts are my favourite. They are hard to get now. I like these as they are super soft and comfy.

Love the fit of these and the quality. Shame about them being a bit pricy, but love them.

FYI - Black is more like dark grey / charcoal, certainly not a true black

Es una buena playera, aunque después de la 1er lavada pierde una parte de su calidad, por eso le doy 4 estrellas, sigue siendo una playera muy duradera y de muy buen uso, siempre queda muy bien, tiene un corte que te hace ver delgado jajaja

Schön, dass man über Amazon nun auch die Shirts im Doppelpack bestellen kann. Der Preis ist ok, wenn man die Qualität und Langlebigkeit von American Apparel kennt. Sehr gerne wieder. Habe mir auch schon ein Doppelpack mit braunen Shirts bestellt.

When you get right down to it, my wants from a shirt are simple: 1. Fit properly 2. Be comfortable. The closer to silky-smooth the better. 3. Look nice amongst the rest of my mostly grey/dark grey wardrobe. The material with these is pleasantly unusual; some stretch, but not a ton. This is the ultimate shirt for someone like me who abhors scratchy cotton shirts, or the sometimes worse dual-blend materials you find in others. It feels smooth, soft, and generally is perfect if what you're mainly looking for is something to line the gap between your skin and a jacket this time of year. It also looks nicer than a lot of similar shirts where there are sometimes clear distinctions between the threads of different material, which also contributes to their scratchiness. These? No such look. These are largely flat grey. They're perfect, I love them, and they're slowly replacing the rest of my shirts. I have a very boring wardrobe. Comfortable though.
