Rowan Felted Tweed, Clay (177), 50g

Ordered a couple of balls of this to add to other colours I had for knitting a Fairisle slipover. Lovely yarn to knit with and being felted it meshes with the other colours to give a genuine Fairisle look.

Great colours in this range, easy to knit would recommend.

I always use Rowan yarns so this was an easy choice. I made a country style cabled cardigan and this was a perfect choice and the little flecks of various colours in the yarn added detail . Some tweed yarns can feel slightly scratchy on the fingers but this is lovely and soft. A great buy!

I am happy with the yarn I received, it is Rowan quality. But why would seller send 2 different dye lots? Once washed they might look a different colour on my projet…

Seller highly recommendable. Product as described. Arrived before date. Packaging very good. Rowan Felted Tweed has wonderful colors--duck egg is a great gray-blue. The yarn, however, is a bit scratchy for felted quality. Since I am knitting a skirt from rowan, this will not matter, however.

I'm not sure if this is old yarn or what. I just got a ball of it for gauge since the pattern called for this brand of yarn . All I was trying to do was a long tail cast on and it would break every few stitches. So I started pulling on it with very little force and break, break, break. Actually I've never had a yarn that breaks so easily. I would never trust it with a project. I'll just stick to the yarns I know. Beautiful color, but no thanks!

I love the yarn. It is unique and of very good quality. The project I used it on, a sweater, is coming out exactly like I wanted it. I recommend this yarn for upscale, high-quality sweaters.
