PROTEX Convertible Soft Top Canvas Waterproofer 500ml - Seals and Protects

I brushed this on my cavas Troop Bag as it’s not waterproof. I applied it twice at an interval of 12 hours before applying a second coat. I’ve been out in the rain and the water slid off my bag. Great product! I would use it again and I have enough to re-coat my bag in 6 months time. If it’s good for canvas on boats, then it’s going to be good for handbags too right !?

Very easy to apply with 4 inch brush, enjoyable task as the fluid seeps into the car top. Dried quickly in the shade with great results - when it poured down the beads were very satisfying. My Saab 9/3 took approx 0.8 litres so its not cheap but neither is a new top. Ill be using every winter from now on.

easy to apply, water is definitely beading, 1 ltr did my mini cooper roof with a small amount remaining.

Used this before on an MX5, as part of a kit that included a cleaner, and was very impressed with how easy it was to use. When this bottle runs out again I will carry on using PROTEX products.

I won’t be buying this product again, I should have learned the first first time. Disappointed

Watching rain water bead on the canvas soft top is very satisfying. The Protex product appears to be far superior to other products I've used in the past. The waterproofer is straightforward to apply with a small brush and a cup to hold the product. The second coat is harder to apply than the first because it just wants to bead and run off, so you have to take your time. At least it demonstrates how effective it is. Once dried you'd never know it had been applied - it has no effect on the appearance of the roof.

Applied to the soft top of the car once I had removed all trace of green algae build up. Not the easiest to apply but once achieved the next morning it was possible to see the over night dew had been held back from seeping into the canvas. Need to know wait and see if this reduces or eliminates the green algae build up.

Brilliant product

Ordered same before. A bit slow due to pandemic, but to be expected.

The product works as exactly described. I hope this one lasts. Product label says I have to apply it every 6 months but I am hoping it will be longer than this.

I loved this product. Was easy to apply and really gave the top a renewed look. It looks a lot fresher than it did before the application. I will buy this product again, and any of their products that I need for car care.
