I have only used a handful of these pads so far, and they seem to work well for the most part, but I am seeing an issue with the top abrasive layer peeling off of the backing. I recently had one go flying across the shop while in use. That’s a bit of a safety concern in my opinion. I’m really hoping it’s not a continuing issue with all of them.

I used all 25 of these discs before I wrote a review. At least half of the discs broke free of the plastic mount, this usually happens within a few seconds of surface contact. This is very aggravating because it is not easy to remove the backing from the holder and it stops all work. The next issue is that they wear out very quickly. Just deburring mild steel and smoothing welds, they only last a few minutes before loosing their structure and getting floppy. It takes three of these to do what one 3M disc will do.
