I was searching for a French lavender syrup we tasted in SC at a coffee boutique. It had such an amazing floral aftertaste that was full and pure. It was Nothing I ever tasted before. By the ad (first picture) I thought for sure this was it only to actually read the label (second picture)when I received it which was totally opposite! Plastic bottle and a Warning for the DYES used for children and all. You Cannot return it either, so I need to throw it away. After beating cancer and learning all the causes this is not worth putting in my body or my families. Unfortunately I sent a bottle to friends prior to ordering my own and must ask them to throw theirs away too and replace with a better cleaner brand. I would like a refund. Definitely false advertising with all the ingredients which the label was not shown on my listing I purchased from:(

I don't know if this syrup sat around for a long time before I bought it, and that caused a loss of flavor; but man, this tastes like nothing. Like purple simple syrup, sweet, but with basically zero lavender flavor. I bought other 1883 syrup before that was good, but this was a straight up waste of money. I wouldn't recommend at all.

We were really hoping to make a lavender lemonade but the color is awfully Poor it’s like a blue mixed with brown and it has no taste at all to lavender I am really disappointed with this me and another family member were really looking forward to some lavender lemonade but were disappointed instead with both taste and color 💔

When I bought the bottle of 1883 because I had it in a martini last month and it tasted great. So, I looked at the ingredients specifically to see if I still wanted to purchase 1883. Had I known that “Allure red” (which causes side effects and some people) is in the ingredients, I may have not ordered it at the time because I had been looking at several options for lavender flavoring.Now, come to find out, I can’t return it. Also, this company does not show the back of the bottle in the photos online. They only provide a description they have added to the product info.

As others mentioned, it did not arrive in a glass bottle and the lavender flavor is basically non existent. There also is a warning on behavior issues in children if consuming this product just stay away and buy another brand
