The Illustrated World Encyclopedia of Guns: Pistols, Rifles, Revolvers, Machine and Submachine Guns Through History in 1100 Clear Photographs

I am interested in military history and already have similar books on tanks, artillery, aircraft and warships. Apart from British Battleships and British Destroyers, both from Seeley Service, this is the best of the bunch.

Ordered this as a Christmas present in December. It got here within two days, really fast service at any time of the year, but especially at Christmas. Nice book with lots of pictures and detailed descriptions.

To put it simply this book is missing pictures for weapons that some reader might know from the name and their difference while others will be missing out on. I myself like to keep a physical data from books and documents about weapons for modeling refrence and this book does have some interesting weapons but still missing a lot of iconic ones(like the Pasadena Auto Mag). I could go on and on but the book is good for people who have no background on gun history/design and might wanna try it out

Does what it says - a very comprehensive run down on just about every fire arm produced up to its publication date. Goes into ample detail about each gun. Not as nice as 'Weapon', but a good reference book.

Looked good to me when it arrived - for an xmas prezzie - the person seemed to love it!

I bought many encyclopedias to compare content and clarity. This was one of the best, for sure. Well structured, good explanations and nice photos. Comprei varios livros sobre este assunto e este com certeza é um dos melhores. A estrutura do livro é bem clara e as imagens muito bem feitas.

Contains a wide selection, lots of photos, and detailed descriptions/history. Certain things I wish it gave alittle more background on but then you’d have to sacrifice the quantity.

I m so happy to see that book is perfect but sad becoz of late delivery
