New 3.0 is the jam!
Just got the new 3.0 anchor, but haven’t used it yet. I’ll update my review after a few uses.I purchased the prior version of this anchor (hex shaped shaft) for our 25’ center console. Boat weight about 6k lbs. Held like a champ and was used exclusively as a rear anchor only. We used it in combination with Sand Sharks bungee line (a must if you’re anchored in any type of waves/current). The bungee line prevents the boat from “jolting” your guests around the deck when waves/wind pick up and the line catches. I was sent a new anchor under warranty as the old one started to deform. The shaft was hollow, and over time, started flexing too much, making it difficult to extend. I reached out to customer support and they offered to send me a new one. I got it today and, let me tell you, this thing is solid. The new shaft is solid stainless steel, no hollow stuff here folks. They also changed the knob that extends the shaft. This makes it easier to turn when your hands are wet. I bought several products from this company over the years and their support is phenomenal. I think they answered me within 15 minutes of sending a customer inquiry. A+ for the anchor and customer service. Bravo, Sank Shark.

Amazing Equipment, Amazing Service
SandShark is the best in the business! I had a small, repairable issue with my anchor after use on a lake sandbar. I reached out to see if I could buy a replacement part. Instead, they sent me a brand new anchor! When you buy the best equipment, you get the best service! Thank you again Tony and the SandShark team!

Exceed expectations. SW Florida, Trittoon
Used this for the first time in SW Florida around Sanibel Island. I used it as a secondary anchor point to keep our boat from swinging in the wind. SO my primary sand(Danforth) anchor was holding the Bow and I used this to keep the boat pointing out to sea and from swinging. Our boat is 10' Beam and 30' Long with Twin Outboards., it held better than I thought given we had 18-20 mile an hour wind gust and 3 foot waves that day. Again this was not our primary anchor but used as a secondary swing anchor. It never pulled out of the sand. I did use the SandShark bungee rope to give it some stretch.I had a minor issue and worked with support and they were extremely prompt and answered to the issue quickly and professionally.I would use this a sole Anchor in shallow water in calmer seas. HIGHLY recommended. much better than a second plow anchor to store and try and retrieve..Good luck and safe boating.-Extremely Happy Customer

Expensive garbage, SandShark does not stand behind their products
Expensive garbage. After less than 2 seasons of use, if I used this anchor 10 times it was a lot, this "PREMIUM" "ULTIMATE" anchor failed. One of the securing pins does not stay engaged. See pic. The pin should not just slip out on it's own when holding the bar upside down. The tension spring is faulty. The other pin works fine. I maintained this anchor according to included instructions.I contacted customer service for them to make it right. They chose to ignore me. It doesn't matter if I'm passed the return window. A product that was used 10 times, IF THAT, should not fail miserably.Especially when the company uses words like "ULTIMATE" and "PREMIUM" to describe it's product. That's just laughable. They obviously do not stand behind their products. I wouldn't either if I sold sub-par products like this.Do not purchase anything from SandShark. Their products are inferior, their customer service non-existent, and you could do a lot better with a different anchor supplier. Go with an anchor you can trust.ANYBODY but SandShark.I was lucky my jet ski didn't go floating away and that I caught the malfunction in time.I am quite disappointed Amazon would allow a merchant such as this to sell on their platform.Pro's:It's a very pretty blue.

Reliable Anchor
I recently bought the Sand Shark Ultimate PWC 2.0, and I’m happy with my purchase. I use the anchor as a primary anchor for my Seadoo GTI, and a secondary anchor (back anchor) for my Yamaha SX190. I spend all my time in the Tampa Bay and Gulf of Mexico, so the water can get rough. The anchor is great for securing watercraft at sandbars and islands. The anchor is dependable, and I don’t worry about my watercraft when I leave it. The new anchor design of the 2.0 is improved and the new pin system definitely is preferred from the original PWC anchor. The anchor is easy to maintain, and it is compact for easy storage.

Sand Anchor
Works well in soft sand. Not as well in harder sand and wobbles in the upper portion.

My Opinion - Best Anchor Out There
I own a 2021 25ft Avalon Pontoon boat and my family and I for the first time this year started double anchoring at a sandbar in Wildwood NJ. Prior to purchasing the SandShark Ultimate I used 2 Fluke style anchors to anchor, 1 at the bow and 1 and the stern of the boat. I still use 2 anchors to anchor however I now use my SandShark Ultimate at the bow of the boat due to the ease of use and the visibility of the anchor, especially where kids, adults and dogs walk and play. I'm so happy that I purchased the SandShark Ultimate. In my opinion, the SandShark Ultimate is definitely worth the money. This anchor is extremely durable and heavy duty, easy to use, easy to clean, and even easier to stow. Another great feature that this anchor offers is that it is easy to see while wading, walking and playing in the water. No more stubbing your toes or cutting your feet on those hard to see underwater anchors. I can't tell you how many kids and adults I saw jam their toes or cut their feet on the Fluke style anchors. I absolutely love this anchor and I'm thinking about purchasing a 2nd one to use for the stern of the boat.
