ASICSMen's Gel Rocket 11 Volleyball Shoe

This shoe is offered as a volleyball shoe but it works fine for pickleball which I play 3-4 times a week. Very comfortable and you stop on a dime.

I've been a squash player for over 50 years and have been through the shoe wars all along the way. Brands come and go; and some change styles. Soon after then the Asics Gel Rockets came out, I bought a pair and liked their comfort, fit, weight, traction and durability. (I've gotten one to two years per pair of Gel Rockets.) Being used to companies changing their shoes, I quickly bought another pair. Eventually, they showed some wear and I converted them to non-squash casual wear.Meanwhile, I needed a pair of all-black walking/running shoes I could take on travel and wear for mor dressy occasions. Again, I bought Asics, same size. The same size as my squash shoes fit perfectly and are still in use after about three years.When it came time to buy new squash shoes, I again turned to Asics. After years of wearing white, I went for more color and bought these peacoat blue/orange babies. They arrived in two days in an original carton and perfect condition. Noting the Amazon 7-day tryout period, I quickly took them onto the court, and found the feel and the traction are just the same as my prior pair. And they look great - the colors on the Amazon page are true.I mention all this because I was concerned about the soles. I have mostly bought squash shoes with the yellow-orange gum soles. They don't mark the court floor and the traction has been consistently outstanding. When I've bought other brands with white or gray soles, I was dissatisfied with the traction or the durability. This new pair has blue soles, so before buying them, I checked with two pros and two other players who have Asics shoes with colored soles. They told me not to worry, and they were right. (They also said that the Asics UpCourt volleyball shoes are not as good for squash.)So, I recommend them, and am now ordering another pair before these colors disappear.

No dislikes. Used for walking.

I recently purchased the ASICS Men's Gel-Rocket 11 Shoes for playing racquetball, having realized that typical running shoes lack the necessary court stability, often leading to smashed toes and unsupported ankles. These shoes have not only elevated my game but have also significantly enhanced my comfort. My brother, too, opted for the white pair and shares my positive experience. The shoes fit true to size. Being in my 50s, I noticed my heels would start hurting after about an hour of play, so I added Timberland PRO men's anti-fatigue inserts to my shoes from Amazon. This modification greatly improved comfort and alleviated the heel pain. Interestingly, my brother experienced no such issues.
