Go Kart Sprocket, Chain, Frame Guard, Skid Protection 30mm

I liked the concept of this, but given it is a consumable (will sacrifice itself for the sake of my frame and rear sprocket) it wasn't quite designed to be consumed properly...What I mean is that the bolt that attaches the skid itself (bare aluminum part) to the frame mount (black part) goes up through the bottom of the skid. That bolt mounts flush with the skid where the skid will contact the pavement. So as soon as that starts happening the bolt also gets consumed. After 3 races you can see the bolt head is essentially gone.So I need to either see if I can pull the whole thing off or safety wire it, would hate for it to come off in a race and hit someone or damage their kart. And I can't take it off because, well, the bolt head is worn off.The right design in my opinion would be the skid gets attached to the frame mount via bolts not on the bottom but on the side somehow so that they aren't consumed as the skid does its job.To be clear I'm fine with the skid getting consumed...just not the bolt that attaches it to the mount.
