It 's a good medium base single bulb light kit
A black fan with gold colored trim made choosing a light kit interesting. I settled on this because it offered a black interface to mount to my ceiling fan. Installation was really pretty simple to do, and very straightforward. The included 9 watt bulb is fairly bright, and a brighter bulb CAN be fitted if you need to. Note that this uses a standard base bulb, NOT the candelabra base bulb that many light kits use. Replacement, or higher wattage bulbs are easier to find. The light kit was easy to install and seems to be fairly high quality with sturdy pieces. I was prepared to gripe about the somewhat hard to grasp finger screws that secure the globe when I noted that in the hardware kit there were bronze colored screws that felt quite a bit better on tightening. That's attention to detail. The kit also includes wiring nuts to tie the wires together. My sole gripe was that the extension string for the light switch is kind of chintzy looking , although it is functional. I guess I'll eventually replace that string, but it does do the job. On the whole I'm quite satisfied with this light kit. It matches my fan, has good light output and seems pretty well made. Value for the money is a strong point and I recommend regular base bulbs to make light bulb replacement for higher output bulbs easier and easier to find in many cases.

Perfect
I’m so happy that this was available. It was easy to install. Took me maybe 30 minutes to replace the old one with the new one. Sure saved me money as I didn’t have to replace the whole ceiling fan. And it actually works better than the old one!

Spot on match
The color is a spot on match with my ceiling fan. It took me all of about 10 minutes to install.

Great Option for Replace or Add
Needed for add to a fan that didn't include one. Excellent match to an existing Harbour Breeze for fit, style and finish. Install was about as simple as plug and play and saved me trip to the hated lowes or hd . good on price too

Does it fit a Hunter . . .?
In answer to the headline question . . . it depends. If you're replacing an existing light kit on a Hunter fan, this will probably work with no issues. The problem comes in with adding this kit to a Hunter fan that has no light fixture. (I repurposed three fans from a 'no light' location to a 'gotta have light' location). The Westinghouse kit does not come with the adapter cap. If your fan came with an adapter cap, you kept it, and can find it, you're in luck. If you're like me, you have no clue where the cap might be or if you ever had one. A DIYer can remedy this by finding the existing cap center and drilling a 1/2" diameter hole (or slightly smaller because it's metric) and using that. The fixture works perfectly after this slight mod. If you aren't very handy with the tools, this kit isn't going to work for you. Granted, the modification is a small, relatively simple one, but some folks are gifted in different areas. The lamp has a clean, old time look and is of acceptable quality. The fact that there is no cap has nothing to do with the quality of the kit.

Does not work. Flimsy materials.
This is a very basic little light kit. A basic pull chain switch, standard light socket, LED standard base light bulb. a nipple, 3 fitters of different colors, some screws, and some wire nuts. The globe is a basic schoolhouse style dome, it LOOKS nice. But the material used is insanely thin, and appears to be easily broken. I have had a LOT of light fixtures and globes over the years, and this one hands down is the most pitiful. So let's get to where the rubber meets the road. I installed this in my kitchen ceiling fan, a Hampton Bay 52" wtih an oil rubbed bronze finish. I followed the instructions verbatim to swapping the fitters around, pretty easy swap actually. And then performed the install. All went according to plan until I went to power it up.No light.Okay swap out the bulb for a known good CFL bulb. No light.I am uncertain of what the issue is here. I need to drop this down and meter everything now. But I followed the install instructions, white wire to white wire marked light kit, black wire to blue wire marked light kit, wire nutted and taped securely and tucked neatly back into the housing...Now it IS possible that when I installed this fan, the blue wire was left disconnected if the Hampton Bay instructions said to not connect it, I need to verify that.Even if this thing did work, I would still give it a 1 star review. Let me list the reasons.#1. Horribly thin and potentially dangerous globe.#2. Poorly machined threads for the globe secureing screws in the fitter.#3. ZERO instruction on how to wire it. I had to google this to make sure. They only mention how to physically mount it... Not make the electrical connections.#4. Non dimmable bulb. I am using this with a Hampton Bay Zigbee ceiling fan / light controller, and I dimmable is required.#5. The chain switch included feels incredibly insecure, like it is going to come flying into a bunch of little pieces every time I pull the chain. This could potentially be where the problem with this light kit is.#6. Overall feeling of cheapness / low quality. This is far and away NOT what I expect for the Westinghouse name. They have fallen a LONG way from the top quality electric parts manufacturer of my childhood...
