Should have been names The Reappearance of Bel’s Gut
The Reappearance of Rachel Price tested my patience more than it rewarded it. The first 300 pages felt like wading through setting after setting with very little story actually moving. By the time the plot finally woke up near the end, I was already halfway out the door. The book could have been much shorter, and the pacing desperately needed a trim. Also, there are so many references to guts that it might as well have been titled The Reappearance of Bel’s Gut. After a point, it stopped adding flavour and just became repetitive. The final stretch does pick up nicely, but it wasn’t enough to balance out the long drag that came before it. Overall, not for me.

Best thriller and suspense # heart pounding
"I devoured 'The Reappearance of Rachel Price' in one sitting! Holly Jackson masterfully weaves a complex web of secrets and lies, keeping me on the edge of my seat. This gripping thriller is a must-read for fans of true crime and mystery. Jackson's writing is razor-sharp, and her characters are multidimensional and relatable. A chilling and unputdownable read!" 5/5 stars.

Wonderful experience 🥰
In the beginning the book felt really slow but as it picked momentum, I couldn't keep it down. The plot of the is really intriguing which keeps you hooked till the end. The climax is something can not predict and thought provoking at the same time except the sherry part. It just didn't feel right. Still, the experience with the book was really wonderful. Everyone should definitely give it a try.

Rachel Price, mother of 18yo Bel, has been missing for over sixteen years. Bel’s father needs money to care for his elderly father, so he decides to participate in a documentary about the disappearance of his wife, Rachel Price. Bel doesn’t want to rehash everything over and over again but she wants to help her dad. She wonders if the documentary will help find her mom by rekindling the investigation. Also, Bel can’t shake the thought that her mom abandoned her all those years ago and that she just might be alive somewhere. The documentary is just the beginning of the chaos that's to come. Likes/dislikes: I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery! The character development was interesting and the author showed Bel’s coping mechanisms of cruelty and shoplifting small items as a way to deal with the abandonment she’s had in her lifetime. The documentary idea was great as it helped show the changes in the family and Bel’s perspective of the situation. Mature content: PG for kissing. Language: R for 53 swears and 121 f-words. Violence: PG-13 for assault. Ethnicity: predominantly white with mention of a brown skin background character.

Where to start? I am a huge fan of Holly Jackson and I’ve read all her books. This book was so fun the story about Bel price and everything that happened. I did guess some things but damn what was Charlie a manipulative person, I was second guessing myself so much until the end. I loved Ash too, it was a very small romance plot but it was there and it was very fun. The things Rachel price went through were so sad and horrible. (I don’t think there are trigger warnings, but I am not to sure please do check) Overall I loved the story, the writing, super fun ya read!
