These are attractive enough as I particularly liked that the silverware was bundled in the napkin which looks really nice on the table. The silverware looked nice, like hammered metal. I would say the prettiest plastic utensils I have seen. But let's talk quality, the spoons we used were extremely rough around the edges where you would eat which is a problem. I have a gold set and the gold forks are much bigger and the utensils little nicer, but the utensels in this set is okay although smaller. The napkin almost could be mistaken for cloth, the napkin is awesome. I would say the nicest part of this set is the napkin. Let's talk about the big plates, sturdy enough but scratches and 10 plates down scratches in the same place on each plate. Clear acrylic in anything really shows all the imperfections and scratches in general. However, you can get away with that because the plate is clear with silver accents, it will take on the color of the table or table cloth and you may notice the scratches as bad. There are small plates that you can use for salad or dessert. They look nice when on top of the bigger plate. The plates have a dimpled sort of pattern to the edges which I like, and silver bands. The cups are small with a silver band. You could have a small drink with your meal or use them for desserts at a fancier party if you use other cups for drinks.Would I use a set like this at a small gathering, you bet I would. Now that I am older it is about the company and food not the plates and silverware. When you spent alot of time preparing food, well you get tired, and disposable plates can make it easier and give you time to enjoy your guest more. But to all the young whipper snappers who have more energy to make every detail shine with fine china, I am in awe. However, I have a small apartment with not alot of storage as well as a disability (pain and mobility) so a set like this for a small gathering of 6-12 just can make my life easier. $35, the price at the time of this review, is a bit pricey though and at times out of the budget. But these plates are so much better than paper product and look so much nicer on the table.
