Stanley 62-511 9-Way Screwdriver

For the home toolkit, this is a must buy. First purchased this 10 years ago. Since then it's become one of my default housewarming gifts as it's infinitely usable. The selection of screwdriver heads will cover most home tasks. The removable handle makes maneuvering even the smallest size easy. It has a compact size that stands vertically, allowing it to be kept in small spaces. It also has the surprisingly usefully nail pull and hook driver. I've used this more than I though I ever would and makes putting up hooks for plants, hangings, lights, etc...very easy. Combined with a small lithium powered hand drill and you can tackle most simple home repairs. My original set finally had to be replaced as the grip in the handle has finally worn enough that the drivers won't stay in. But, 10 years for a $15 toolset is really fantastic. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

This is a really nice, compact set of screwdrivers. With 3 sizes of Phillips and 3 flat head the set has all of the bases covered. The awl is also handy at times and the nail puller is also useful - I've even used the hook driver. The case keeps everything handy instead of scattering out in a drawer and the large handle gives you a lot of grip for dealing with a stubborn screw. This is my second set, the original set is now 3-4 years old. I keep the original set in my office and I liked it so much I decided to get another for good measure. I already had a tool chest in my garage with (guessing) 25-30 screwdrivers in one drawer - all collected over many years and including all sizes and styles from jewelers to one that's 14" long. But, this little set has save me countless time and steps by being within reach in my office and 9 times out of 10, what I need is in this set. It's a great buy too.

Excellent set for the home the garage hobby. I own two and consider it an excellent investment. It comes in a holder to keep it organized and has all the common sizes. This will handle 90% of the jobs around your home. Good for travel, boat RV. There are other mnfg. but nothing of this quality for the price. Great Christmas Birthday Fathers Day gift. Wether you are a master craftsman or just someone who sometimes needs a screwdriver I truly believe you will find this handy. BTW if this sounds like a commercial it isn't I receive no compensation for this. I just think it is a good quality set for a reasonable price.

I had a set of these for years. They are still great.?U just wanted newer ones.

This is a fairly basic set, but most slotted and Phillips screws are within the limited range of what this set does. I keep this in a convenient place for when I don't need to go to the garage to get something more specific. The quality is fine for the price, and after a couple of years of use I got another set for my daughter, who needs a limited set of tools for basic tasks. When you come home from the store with a do-it-yourself furniture package, and it shows a picture of a screwdriver, it will probably be one that's accounted for in this kit or they would have provided it for you.It's more compact than a standard set, yet the handle gives you the full torque you would get with a standard screwdriver.

I like this screwdriver set. I have had one for years which I keep in the house. About 3 years ago I bought a set for my wife. I bought this one for my work shop. The only bad thing about this is the plastic cover. I have pinched the webbing between my thumb and forefinger putting it back on. It is difficult for me to remove. So I leave the covers off or just put them on lightly. Unfortunately whenever I knock them off the shelf, the screwdrivers fly all over the floor. But playing screwdriver pickup is the lesser of the evils. As said earlier I like this set. The handle is easy to hold and its shape makes for a tight grip for those stubborn screws. I don't use the handle for the smaller screws such as the back of a watch whenever I change the battery. I find this set to be a pretty good all around household set of screwdrivers. I rarely if ever use the tack lifter, brad awl or hook driver so I cannot comment on those.

I have had a set of small screwdrivers in my kitchen drawer that were similar to these. They needed to be replaced. This is a nice set and seems to be strong and able to accomplish what needs to be done. So far so good! They work great!
