I'm pretty pleased.
I have a stone bear that was given to me, and I don't know what kind of stone it is, but it had some damaged spots, and these RODIVE brand polishing pads fixed the damage pretty quickly, polishing out the bad spots and making the bear look beautiful.

backing plate came apart
The backing plate came apart after using it the second time. It's cheaply made and I don't recommend anyone buying this product.

Shiny - Shine - Shine on Yer Marbles
These are super - They do an excellent job polishing bull nose on marble with a grinder. For the higher grits you'll need a variable speed grinder so you can turn down the rpm - otherwise you WiLL get some burning. The black will buff off - but I think the heat will kill yer diamonds.5 Stars

An affordable, basic stone polishing set.
The RODIVE 4-inch Efficient & Hassle-Free Dry Diamond Polishing Pad System is a basic, easy to use system for quick, general touch ups.I typically will use water when grinding and polishing stone as it not only keeps everything cooler but also nearly eliminates all stone dust from becoming airborne. My current system utilizes slightly larger (and more expensive) wet/dry grinding and polishing pads and I have approximately 10 pads covering the range of the 4 provided in this kit. Occasionally, I need to do a quick touch up in areas where I don't want to use water so I thought I would give these a try.Please note: I have not used these yet so I can not currently comment on their actual effectiveness or durability but rather only on my perception of their construction and visual quality. Once I have a chance to put them to use, I will add my thoughts to my review.In regards to my immediate perceptions, the discs appear similar in quality to items I've seen at Harbor Freight (not especially great nor terrible). The individual pads appear well made, no bonding issues appear present, and the felted velcro backing -on basic examination- holds well. The backer and arbor, on the other hand, appear fairly low quality, especially the backer which is a simple, thin, cheap plastic one... not at all what they use in 99% of the ads pictures. The backer is not flexible at all despite the actual grinding pads being designed to flex. The arbor will do its intended job but I'm guessing it will rust fairly quickly if used for wet work. For some reason. The company included a 3/8" thick foam rubber disc; at first, I thought this was to allow softer grinding and some flex but it is useless because it has no velcro with which to integrate it.
