The systematic way the book is written is very easy to understand. I'm am new to Fluid Art . As a retired hair dresser, specializing in hair color, I welcome clear direction, as well as with hair there can be many variables to consider when choosing paint mediums etc. This book covers all those aspects. Rick is a good instructor

The thing I like best about this is the recipes for colors and techniques. Although you can never recreate a pour precisely, this book gives you an excellent basis for exploring various pouring mediums, both commercially made and hand mixed, and uses a wide variety of pigments. You will get good results and learn how to concoct your own adventures. Pretty soon you can do your own YouTube channel for pouring!

Really a very good book for beginners. Recipes are very good and comes with the amounts. I wish he would have put the size of canvas on, or did I miss something..it's still worth five stars. Come on Rick, release the next one. Get into string pulling more, flower making, straw blowing and transfer a picture and then finish with a pour. Thank you, Kae

The recipes in this book are very helpful. I like that it identifies the paint colors used in each technique so I could try the same thing. I also love how it lists the order in which the items are placed in the paint cup. It’s simple to follow, a quick read book. I like the empty journal pages at the end. Worth every penny. Highly recommend to others.

As a newbie, I enjoyed this book. I appreciated the stright up approach taken and I am really enjoying the recipes the author has added. It sure makes a difference when you know how much paint to use for each pour. I also like how he used several different brands of paint, providing multiple recipies for each brand as well.

I am a beginner at pouring, and appreciate the "Recipes" in this book, however, there is no mention of how to calculate how much paint for a specific area. A chart about this would be extremely helpful. No one wants to start a project, and then run out of paint. I joined the "Acrylic Pouring" group on facebook and found a chart, along with loads of other info.

Just sampled this Book & I am looking forward to buying it... For myself & as a gift...Will rate more after Purchase..

I am not usually a detail oriented person. There ARE times, however, when I need details. Thank you Rick for the details on different methods for this beautiful art! The order of paints in the pour, the different additives to try, suggestions and reminders- all the information you give us is rock solid! Get this book and start creating!!

Easy to follow instructions and want to try every method described by the author. So hard to find all this information but it is all gathered together here and easy to learn.

Rick asked for an honest review and here it is - this book is absolutely perfect for beginners and those who have trouble combining the right colours. His photos, recipes and instructions are very clear. As a beginner I struggled with which mediums to use and in what ratios and which pour works with which paints. I especially liked how the pouring section was separated by paint manufacturer. If there is one word I could use to describe this book it is "trust". You can trust Rick's instructions to get you on your way to being an acrylic pouring artist. Thank you so much for the journal. Happy pouring.

This book is extremely useful. Beautiful pictures and I love the space to write down ideas and trails in the journal portion. Keeps everything in one place.

Being new to acrylic pouring this was, and still is, very useful! Great to see what can be achieved, good photos and methods. I think I am now fully addicted to pouring, it’s a magical way of creating art! You never quite know what your making until you do it, a nice surprise every time you pour. The more you do, the more you get to know your paints, the viscosity, it’s ‘habits,’ I learn something new every time!!

I’m sorry but I honestly don’t think this book is worth the money paid for it bearing in mind 50% of this book is blank pages supposedly for the reader to write their own paint recipes. There is some helpful information on the first few pages for beginners like me and there is also some merit in having a few paint recipes but once you’ve read a few of them you easily get the idea. I’m sorry to say the pictures within the book are a poor quality too so the reader doesn’t get a real appreciation as to how vivid the colours on this type of paint method can be. I’m afraid I don’t recommend this book. You tube videos will help you a lot more to be honest.
