These ceramic filters fit most any size filtration system. I made one from 2 plastic party decanters and am able to filter well, tap or rain water with these filters. I tested the filtered water 15 ways and it passed them all. They filters can be washed and reused a couple of times. Longer lifespan when filtering only tap water, but it's good to know they'll work in an emergency situation. My last filter lasted for 2 years. I keep spares on hand.

I gave it the full 5 stars for easy to install and flavor but easy to clean is not really relevant because you don't clean it you toss it out when used up and as for taste I didn't notice any after taste at all. Good product, even came with a contact business card and a free good quality dish wash cloth. I believe it's for washing the inside of the water dispenser these filters are used for, so that's very nice. Nice good service touch.

This fits the hole in my nikken perfectly however the part that you screw on is not long enough and cannot be secured. One has to hold it in place until the water saturates it and a suction is created. A total pain in the butt, but I am using it.

Keeps trash out

I've been using this style of filter for years and the previous supplier is no longer on Amazon. i switched to this supplier thinking everything would be the same. The water almost tastes worse going through this filter than it does out of the tap!At first I thought it was just the first few filtrations that it needed to "warm up" but it's been well over 20 gallons now. And I can still taste and smell the chlorine in the water that has passed through this filter. I never experienced this with my other filters.UPDATE: i put my whole filter housing in storage recently and in the process the ceramic part came unglued from the base and inside is hollow! there is NO CARBON in this filter. It's interesting bc I don't think they state there is, but it's just expected bc carbon is the thing that really filters contaminants! I repeat: THIS IS JUST A CERAMIC DOME, NO CARBON INSIDE, IT'S HOLLOW.

My water tastes clean and fresh. Easy to replace.
