The Urban Gold Prospector: How To Make Money Buying Scrap Gold and Silver

If this book were condensed down to 4-pages, it would make for a real nice pamphlet. But as a book it's a disappointment. If you're looking for a comprehensive guide to Urban Gold Prospecting you won't find it here. It's an OK starting point. But you could probably find most if not all of the information revealed here with a few Google searches.

Nothing new in this book. Less detail than in most on this subject. It’s like he read 1 or 2 other books on the subject and then copied it into his own.

This book does have some good points in it, but It's very thin. I read it in one sitting. I wish it had more info in it.

I buy all the books I see offered that are based on precious metals, diamonds, gems and coins. As a pawnbroker for 22+ years I have a wealth of experience. However I usually take away at least one piece of information from each book I read. From this book I did not. Only a total precious metals novice will profit from reading this book. I would not recommend this book to anyone already operating in the precious metals business.

Having seen a fair few shops and stalls setting up recently in my area asking for peoples gold I was intrigued that in these economic times Gold has returned as the valuable commodity and one in which to make personal money.So I did a bit of research and found this book which I have to say is quite excellent at showing everything from the metal basics to what to buy to How to test that its legit and has the right weight etc.It even has some fantastic tips for how to negotiate when buying which is particularly handy as its so important to get the price right.Suprisingly there is also an opportunity to joint venture with the author on gold/silver trades.If you are interested in getting into Gold and Silver to make money then this book is well worth a look.
