Very nice product, but it is loud for an inverter generator. ECO mode works well.
Version being reviewed: I could not find model numbers that separate the different models, The one I have has a backlit LCD display and a L5-30R twist lock receptacle. I bought this to be a backup to my current 5 year old generator. Shipping was on time and the product arrived undamaged. They changed the padding in the box to dense phone, not bubble plastic seen in videos here or on Youtube. Since this is an open frame generator, it was very easy to add and change oil during the initial setup and break-in. The online manual does not match this model and there are no break-in instructions for those who haven't done this before. There are many resources online for performing generator break-in and as with all small engines, it is the most important procedure you can that greatly affects the life of a small engine. After adding gas and oil, turning over the engine several times to get everything lubed with the knob turned to the 'off position', this generator started on the first pull. Testing: Not all generators handle ECO mode correctly so the first thing I did was test ECO mode under an inductive load. Keep in mind that running Motors using ECO mode is not recommended by the manufacture and my testing would be considered extreme and not something anyone should do normally. ECO mode testing: Test #1: Shop vac: Startup amps: 15a Running Amps:10a. As expected, the voltage sagged a little during startup but the generator responded and the shop vac worked without any issues except for it moving around as I mentioned before. Test #2: Sinewave conformity with Victron Multi-plus II Inverter Charger. Anyone that has these devices knows how picky they are when it comes to AC sources. Under ECO mode, total load 20amps (with charging), this generator performed better than my generator. Response time is fast and voltage sag is well within a reasonable range, enough so that the inverters didn't go into assist mode. While ECO mode does make it a lot quieter when not under a load, it moves around quite a bit on it's own under load. If placed on a driveway, it could end up tipping over if vibration on the rubber feet causes it to move into the grass. placement and supervision is very important until you know how this behaves. If you run this without Eco mode, it doesn't seem to have this problem but supervision and placement are still important. The noise level is well above what I expected being an inverter generator, it is quite loud at 50% load but when you need it, it won't be louder than the neighbors generator so it won't matter. I'm very happy with this purchase, especially at this price point.

An easy to start little generator that worked well on a job site
I had some reservations about getting a generator from the internet and using it, but I saw this for a reasonable price and decided to try it. When it arrived, I followed the instructions and serviced it, then I started it up. To my surprise, it started easily and ran the tools I used to test it (a circular saw, etc). I took it to the job site and used it heavily for a month. It was about as noisy as its peers, but perhaps a bit less so. It ran for a long time on one tank; for example, it ran the tank half dry after a day of using a miter saw continuously. It did everything I needed, including running an electric jackhammer. The gauges worked well, and I had no problem with the outlets. In short, this is a nice, rough-field generator that did everything I asked. For the price, it's good.

Powerful generator
Work as expected, but very noisy. Powerful and reliable, but need more instruction to guide users.

Good quality power
Works great! It isn't loud, but not as quiet as an enclosed unit. Plenty of power for my DJ Sound system.

Very Loud and Dangerous
Extremely loud, exactly like a constant lawn mower! It also had some issues right off the bat with over heating and didn’t shut off automatically. It then tripped my whole trailer system and nearly fried the circuit board. Then all the outlets stopped working entirely and it was only the 3rd day camping we used it. Sparks = danger!!!

Turn off fuel not switch when putting away..
Works just great ... about 3 hours a day. Added oil and fuel and pulled cord. Started first pull without struggle

Good machine, bad packing/shipping
Seems to be a good machine, just arrived broken. Got it unboxed, oiled, and gas in it it. Started after 3 pulls (expected) and ran great. Charged some milwaukee 18v batteries on a rapid charger. The only problem is the broken plastic on the vent louver on the front and the wiring shroud. Hopefully I can fix with some garage ingenuity since it seems mainly cosmetic.
