Great on asphalt patch work. Also compaction on covering up under ground.
Nothing to dislike. Keep the water bucket full when patching asphalt.

Muy mala atención al cliente
El equipo se veía muy bien, pero solo funciono 15 minutos, se apago y no quizo funcionar más, les escribí y nunca me dieron solución al problema

Never realized how much I needed this!
The media could not be loaded. Sometimes you really don't know what you need, until you get something. We recently bought a house that has an asphalt driveway and parking area. There are a few places in the parking area that are in need of repair and we tried using a heavy tamper to level out the patches. They just didn't compact enough, and the next time there was some fairly heavy equipment on the patches, it chunked them up. So, we decided it was time to try some machinery that's really made for this job. This even compacted some of the areas that we thought were already done. The patches that we did are now holding and we can move to some other areas, then topcoat. The only complaint is with the wheels and ease of moving from spot to spot. The handle length is ok when compacting (wouldn't hurt if it was longer, though), but when trying to wheel the unit around, you really have to bend over a LOT! This really saved a lot of back-breaking work, so it was well worth using it. It seems to be very well made, very sturdy. One other caution - BEFORE FILLING WITH OIL, check the position of the dipstick. The fill port and the drain port are the same size and several units have the dipstick in the drain port. We thought the dipstick was missing, until we read other reviews, but too late for us, we had already filled it with oil. We'll switch the two caps around the first time we do an oil change.

Seems to work good
After couple hours of use now I can't control the idle it's either all the way up of off but still seems to compact good

Does what it should
I help caretake a large farm. We're constantly doing projects that require tamping -- pothole filling, pouring concrete, laying pavers, etc. This machine helped me tamp some gravel around a new gate, and operated as it should. MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS. This thing is not shipped with oil. You MUST put oil in it first. Also, I highly recommend using ethanol-free fuel.The couple of things that took this machine down a notch for me (see photos):- The axle rod was bent when it arrived. A bench vise and a mini sledge fixed that.- The handle pad was a little funky.

Not a happy tamper
Compacter arrived very quickly but after opening to assemble the machine there were a few parts missing and some parts all ready assembled. Looking a little closer at the box it was wrapped in a home owner type shipping tape so I think I was sold a return from a previous customer. You get what you pay for;

Good home compact - works on gravel drives on the farm
Arrived with some loose parts in the box, and a some scuff marks on the handle. No big thing, this is a farm. My husband assembled it - and thank you to the reviewers who mentioned the oil dipstick in the wrong port. Husband got it sorted out in no time. Yes, you have to put oil (ethanol free) and gas in it, like any other shipped piece of equipment. The water tank is a great feature. We did the gravel drive this year, and while it took a couple of days (smooth out the gravel with the tractor and blade first), then wait for a good rain. THEN compacting it which took days/hours. Worked super well. Husband is tall, so he had to bend over quite a bit, which kinks up his back. He just took his time, quit when he got tired and did some more the next day. It's not quiet. lol. There was a slight overheat issue, with using it so long at one stretch - but again, he just took his time, waited and went back to it. Breaks were good for both man and machine! We will have other uses for it, as I hope to lay in brick paver front paths next year. It's small enough to do around objects - like the posts for our front porch. Saves us having to rent a machine, when the nearest rental place to us is literally 40 miles away.

Saved Us a Ton of Money • Great Performance
My husband used this to help repair/replace the cracked concrete driveway and front walk way on our rental property.He has worked masonry & construction for many years, after calling around for quotes, he knew that with the proper machinery, he could perform the entire job himself; so when this compactor became available to get, I jumped on it, and that helped convince him to get it done.This machine served him well, because he transformed the exterior view of our home; a new, smooth driveway and gorgeous stone walkway.He claims this is a “fine piece of machinery”.Says it’s self-explanatory, although it comes with instructions. Helped save him a ton of money. Easy-to-assemble, very powerful for its size, and is one of the better compactors he has used.Granted, he has only performed two (small) jobs with two other compactors in his past. He said he’d give it 5 stars.
