I ordered about a month ago,I got this for my wife who is in a wheelchair. It hasn’t flattened. It is very comfortable. It’s about 3 1/3 in thick. It also help with back aches.

I bought this for my dad who sits on a scooter or wheelchair all day, everyday. He always complains about his tailbone hurting and will have to lay down several times a day to take pressure off of his bum.When I showed up with the cushion he said “I already have 2 or 3 like that.” I removed the thin little cushion that was on his chair and pushed this one into place. The slight incline really helps him feel secure and not like he is going to fall out.He drags his butt a lot when transferring into or out of the chair. I eventually put velcro pads under the cushion/on the chair to hold it in place. That’s has been enough to hold it in place so the tailbone hole stays in the middle of the seat.Best part—after a couple of weeks he does say his tailbone feels much better!! It doesn’t ache all the time like it has been for the last few years. That makes it so worth it to me!I did put a kitchen size trash bag over the cushion inside the cover before bringing it over to him so washing and drying the cover has been easy. If it doesn’t seem to have the same lift in the front of the cushion, your mom has probably the cushion back in the cover upside down. HahaThe strap that goes around the chair and hooks in the other side is lame. A strap with a plastic click buckle would be much nicer to be secure.

This cushion was perfect for my moms wheelchair. She has dementia and kept trying to slide out of her chair for no apparent reason so this cushion has a higher part in the front that helps to prevent slipping out. Also the design helped to ease pain she was having on her bottom from a pressure sore allowing it to heal more quickly. It helps her to sit at a better posture also so her back hurts less.The only thing I would have preferred would have been a breathable water proof cover.

This helps so much when you are sitting for any length of time. It's thick and firm.

This cushion is life changing. I suffer from cripplimg arthritis in the hips and back, and this allows me to sit for significantly longer periods before the pain forces me back into bed. If my house was on fire, this cushion is on the short list of things I grab.

This cushion is a good size, but more firm than I expected.

I bought one for my mom’s wheelchair and you would have thought she won a new car on Price is Right! She loves it…hell…I thought I was gonna have to get a paper bag for her to breathe in so she didn’t hyperventilate…LOL!
