Amazon Essentials Women's Water-Resistant Collar Coat

I am 5’5 1/2 & weight is 125lbs. I usually order my coats , jackets and tops XL because I do not like form fitting clothing. I especially prefer to be able to layer clothing beneath coats & jackets.Which is why I was so surprised when I ordered this coat in a large (because of it being out of stock in my color choice in XL) and I was sure it wouldn’t be large enough but it absolutely large enough to layer another thick cardigan beneath it on top of my bulkier sweatshirts. This coat comes to my knees, also surprising because I am taller than most women and yet on the model it appears inches shorter. I am happy with this coat as it can be dressed up or down and is easy to machine washable and dry (it did not shrink). I consider this a good bargain & am happy with the purchase however I could imagine that a petite woman might find this too long.

I needed a coat for times when wearing my windbreaker would look sloppy. Just received this one. I ordered large and it is just a bit on the smallish side for a large. It fits me ok without a lot of bulk underneath it. If wearing with bulky sweaters, I would go up a size. I steamed it on arrival to get wrinkles out. The material is a good weight in quality (the weight of the coat is right for spring and fall). The design details are very good in the way it is constructed. Buttons are covered; neck is pieced; kick opening in back; double stitched seams. I am normally a London Fog devotee for design, quality and durability. This coat is a competitor at a lower price point, so far - have not worn it for a season, yet.

I got this coat to be moody but also dry while visiting in NYC. I didn't use it as the weather held, but I still love wearing this coat. It's over-sized and long, and has a trench coat vibe. I've gotten so many compliments. The material is soft and the jacket is very lightweight for packing. The only thing to note is it (embarrassingly) took me a couple weeks to figure out how to use the buttons properly as they don't show on the front of the item. I didn't realize there was access to the part where you pull the button through the hole, as there's two separate layers of fabric.

Graceful drape to the fabric, clean lines, good quality construction, and provides a slimming silhouette. Even with ample space inside, it does not appear bulky or frumpy, but clean and modern (XXL).Very high in versatility. Casual but can also be used for dress. The roominess keeps me from getting too warm in spring or fall and allows plenty of room for layers in winter.I loved the navy so much I bought a second in black. I did need to iron the packing creases.Update: "Black" version of coat was actually a darker blue color. At first I thought it was my bad vision or the light. I needed to prepare for a funeral, and I was sure it wouldn't do but didn't have time to fuss with sending it back. Had to buy something else for the funeral.

It's a nice in-between style raincoat compared to a knee length trench coat and a rain anorak. Nice quality, a little bit of a throwback to "car coats" from the 1950s-1960s which I like. The red is a tomato red so it's almost like a neutral. I'll buy a black one when my size is back in stock.Sleeves are too long but that's normal for me.

I would never guess nor does anyone else believe this rain coat is an Amazon Essionals. It is very stylish and flatterning and looks like a designer brand. If it's on the cool side I can wear a sweater underneath. Seems to be relativity water resistant. I bought a small and it fits nicely.

I don't normally do reviews on Amazon for a product unless it's either really good or really bad. I was so excited for this jacket only to end up getting the wrong color and for the size to be too big. I couldn't even go under a size because then it would be too tight in the upper area as I have broad shoulders. The fit made me look frumpy and it didn't suit me at all (though it may work for others cause everyone's bodies are different - i just didn't like it on me). Honestly i tried really hard to like this jacket and took it on and off multiple times hoping it'll look better than the last but i just couldn't. I decided to return it.

Great coat, fits well, looks nice. However, the color is a bit off, its supposed to be black, but is more like a cross between black and navy. It's a weird color, but the coat itself is great. Its very flattering and lightweight.

Fit was a little large, but material and workmanship very nice. Just wish Amazon selections were more consistent in their sizing.

Es muy bonito, de excelente calidad y lo compré a un súper precio. Cabe mencionar que el corte es tipo años 60s no esperes que te forme cintura o quede ajustado, sin embargo se sigue viendo muy bien, viene muy amplio, compré talla M y le tuve que recortar las mangas pero aún así por el precio valió la pena.

**Update Mar '24***Still love these ....... only wish is that the lining was 'silky' texture as, being cotton, it tends to 'walk up' clothing rather than move with it; if that makes sense ***************** I used 'Try Before You Buy' for the first time with these coats - as I am size 8-10, I requested one in S and one in M and I have kept both!! (Navy and dark Brown)............. there is very little between the sizes and the quality, cut and material is top notch. Very nice change from my usual hooded coats and will be perfect for Spring weather. Great with jeans or dresses.Can't comment on weather-proofing at this time as it is still a little chilly and these are lightweight.Highly recommend

Es sollte mal eine alternative zum üblichen Trenchcoat her . Da ich schon einige im Schrank habe und ein Fan davon bin. Ich trage die M und die passt wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe . Sehr gute Verarbeitung , was man eher in der höheren Preisklasse erwartet . Positiv das Innenfutter ist Baumwolle und gut vernäht. Was auch nach der Wäsche nicht rausschaut . Im ganzen eine tolle Jacke die mich in Zukunft oft begleiten wird.
