So much fun!!!
Audiobook review: narrated by Maxine Mitchell and Teddy Hamilton4.5 stars for story / 5 stars for performanceThis is book two in an interconnected series by different authors. It's based around 4 single moms who all live together to raise their kids in their own little village. This story is Dylan and Courtney's story that involves the "stay at home mom" of the group. I absolutely adore Dylan and her quirkiness. Courtney is instantly attracted and after their one night encounter, he can't get her out of his mind and is looking for any excuse to meet her again. Of course the universe has decided to help and let me tell you, this is an accidental pregnancy done right.I am absolutely LOVING this Mom Coms series. These characters are so unbelievably fun and lovable. The kids, the raccoon, spiders and snakes...the house, that is a character in itself...there is so much to love. The narrators are two of my top favorites. Teddy Hamilton is an expert in the craft and can change characters on a dime which is a necessity in this story as there are so many different characters in this house. He played up the comedy in the fun scenes and laid on the anger when necessary. Maxine Mitchell's voice is so beautiful and melodic and she also has many voices to master which she does so well.I cannot wait to see what's in store for these moms next!

Still ducking enjoying the series
This was such a light read. I typically avoid accidental pregnancy tropes, but I enjoyed book one so much that I wanted to read about the other gals in order and not miss anything. As far as accidental pregnancy goes, it was refreshing for me because the couple is older (mid-30s I believe) and both Dylan and Cort were in it from the beginning--no hemming or hawing. The lack of drama was actually refreshing, haha. It's interesting that each mom's story is written by a different author. I feel like this gives us a different take on the characters we've met so far.We learned so much more about Dylan in this one--one could easily think she'd be flighty since she very much goes with the flow of the universe's plan and says just about whatever she's thinking and believes in crystals, but she's really not. We see the wonderful relationship she has with her son Liam, her dedication to the other kids in the house, and the love she puts into all relationships. I felt like I learned a lot from her.Cortney was.... practically perfect? He was supportive, made the effort to connect with everyone in the house, and just loved everything about Dylan (even the things she felt made her challenging). There was a total lack of drama in this book. There were possibly two blips? But that's exactly what they were. Blips. As fast as it came, it went and ultimately it made the couple stronger. There are still a good amount of laughs. The banter is there and the kids along with the pranks were great. It was enough to keep the book from being boring outside of the swoon moments. Beckett is still something else entirely lol.

5 stars NO NOTES
I am absolutely devouring this series! I’m obsessed with this world being created and the friendships that are described as the books go on.Dylan is the hippy of the group. One with the universe she accepts everything life gives her with the knowledge that it is a gift meant for her. And when the universe gifts her an accidental pregnancy after a one night stand with the gorgeous sunshine baseball catcher, she doesn’t panic. And after she tells Courtney the baby is his, she’s surprised that he’s on board and wants to be part of her process. He moves in to be closer to her and they slowly fall in love. This book is a soft swoony low angst book. If you are looking for a light fluffy read this is the one you need to pick up. I just loved watching Courtney fall for Dylan. Even before the pregnancy, he was willing to do anything just to spend a few minutes with her.And Dylan is the kind of mom I aspire to be. Calm and go with the flow, while also doing everything necessary to be there for your kid. I loved them.

Love this series
If you’re lucky enough to have close girlfriends then these stories will feel like you’re just adding 4 new friends to your group. And if you’re in the market for new friends - well, then here are some great ones! Each story is funny, whitty and has some steam to it. The kids personalities are all so hilarious and add to each storyline. Not to mention the main characters siblings and friends - I don’t know which book outside this series I want to read next! The continuing storyline of the “ducks”, “ducking” and the family of raccoons is absolutely hilarious and I look forward to an update with each book.IMO, the books should be read in order. You might try to read one as a stand-alone, but I think the overall story develops too much and you would miss out on a lot of development.

Dylan and Cortney
Dylan is a believer in the stars and a modern-day hippie. She has a teenage son, homeschools all the kids, and has a successful chain of daycare centres running themselves. She enjoys being single. Since she is not in a rush for a relationship, she has devoted herself to ensuring the kids in the house are cared for when the other moms need that extra help.Cortney is a professional baseball player; he is devoted to his career. He can tell you all the stats and player information. He has not considered life outside of baseball or whether he wants to have kids and a family. When Cortney first sees Dylan, something about her draws him, and he can't stop thinking about her. The odd circumstance leading him to her home and the unfolding drama has them hooked on each other. What should have been a one-night stand to get those hooks and curiosity out turns into an accidental pregnancy. What happens now: Cortney wants more, and Dylan is very fearful of another relationship, especially after what happened before. Will these two make it to coupledom?Mother Maker was my first book by the author, and it was a pretty hilarious and tear-jerker read.Reasons I enjoyed this book:Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Funny, Page-turner, Romantic, Wonderful characters

Courtney and Dylan are the best
Mother Maker(The Momcoms #2)By Jenni BaraDylan is a free spirit, she believes in crystals and the universe and soon she will believe in Cortney Miller. She just makes you smile, but know this Dylan may act Dippy Do (Beckett’s name for her) but she is very aware of what is happening around her.Catcher Cortney Miller has just been traded from another baseball team (ok it was a National League team…I do know a fair amount about baseball). Don’t mess with a sports players pregame rituals, when Cortney is lead to believe someone with red hair removed his lucky game socks when they visited the teams change room. Withthat info Cortney shows up at the brownstone and asks for his socks…and this is where the shenanigans begin. Mother Maker is Cortney, Dylan and Finn’s story.Although things have calmed down with Junior having her brood of baby raccoons and summer vacation just starting, one would not be off if they started singing Nelly’s “It’s getting hot in here” and I mean that in every way you can imagine. With the chemistry between Cortney and Dylan making A/C mandatory and Finn wanting to protect his mother; the other three moms and the kids are always going to play a huge roll in these books. I tried to kept notes, but this is the Boston Brownstone that neighbors give funny looks to and you can never tell what will happen! So when the universe tells Dylan she pregnant, things are going to change.Again, the laughs are consistent, we learned that chivalry is not dead and sometime all you really need to believe in is the Universe. Keep your eyes on Beckett Langfield…he is up to something and no one is safe!Yet again I have tons of stars to give to Mother Maker, after all…the universe right? Looking forward to the next book…we maybe be changing sports, but we still have Beckett pulling strings in the background.

This book makes me smile
I love this series so much. I know this is only the 2nd in the series but when you know, you know. The writing, the story, the characters, there’s drama without it being intense. There’s conflict but these characters actually talk to each other! They discuss! They act like adults! It’s so refreshing! Even when emotions are high to not have characters dismissing feelings or automatically assuming the worst before running away and discussing it. These books are truly mature and magic and everything about this book felt magic. The FMC Dylan is unapologetically herself, whether everyone understands her or not and that honest, raw aura is what drew the MMC Cortney to her. She’s a breath of fresh air and they both instantly felt a connection. Add in the 1% of contraception not working and you get two adults who work their way together towards a new path in life.I loved this book, I love everything about this series and reading these characters truly makes me happy and wish I had a mum club like it!5⭐️2🌶️

Perfect RomCom with an hilarious family group
Ok, first of, let me start by I don't like the Pregnancy trope in general. But I do enjoy it, if it's put into the blurb and I can prepare myself for it (which I didn't in that case) so it was actually a surprise pregnancy for me, as it was for the FMC 😂😂😂😂. But the way Jenni Bara wrote this story, and besides the pregnancy is an important twist in the story it isn't everything, and that's what hooked me here.Dylan, is a single mom, who lives together with her son (Liam) and her three bests friends and their children, to say this house is chaotic is an understatement. She is the stay at home mom who is homeschooling all the kids. She is a free spirit, and just wants to enjoy her life.Cortney, the successful baseball player, he wants to play baseball for the next one or two season before he has to retire. He isn't interested in dating before that.Well, universe had other plans for these two 😂😂😂😏. When they first lock eyes, it's done. They need to have each other.Besides this super sweet love story, this book is full of hilarious moments with the whole gang, as well as super swoon moments with Cort. This man, knows how to woo a woman. 😍🫠This is the second book in the MomCom series, I read it out of order and didn't have an issue besides spoiler myself for the first couple.

accidental pregnancy never looked so cute
Unpopular Opinion? I love Accidental Pregnancy Trope. I like it even more when he takes care of her from the very first day.Mother Maker is Book 2 in the MomCom series and revolves around the quirky Dylan who lives with her 3 friends in total 7 kids and also the now husband of her friend Olivia and Courtney Miller- the baseball player who is not in the team managed by Beckett aka Olivia’s husband.Dylan is a sweetheart through and through and the calm the chaos of a house needs. She has beliefs and faith, senses and feelings and she doesn’t shy away from talking about them.Courtney is that buffy of a man who is soft & sweet like a marshmallow but he also knows how to raise the heat with his words. Court was from the first chapter A Walking Green Flag with how he talked about anxiety and overthinking.Liam was a star in the book, he had his reservations which when revealed the reason for made a lot of sense but his care for his Ma and also troubling Court to see if he would stick? It was amazing to witness. There were so many moments to talk about that one my heart? Especially the socks scene. I love how everyone made Dylan feel like home at that moment.Every moment, every decision, every effort and every word Court said for the baby and for Dylan made my heart fuller.

I really enjoy it
I really enjoy how layback she is, assertive and how open she talks about sex, I didn’t like that way she change a little bit the character of Beckett I thing taking reference from book 1 he wasn’t that blabber mouth also there a lot of text when they thinking a lot and in the end they don’t say nothing
