As described and exact match to oem
Old oem part was leaking oil im guessing g to a faulty gasket. Very typical for this part. Was very easy to install. Note to anyone who gets a check engine light after install... check the 2 connecters and make sure they snap in completely. One of mine were loose and causing the car to sputter on acceleration. Fixed that issue and cleared check engine.

Absolute Junk
Install was simple. HAd an oil leak coming from this part originally, so bought this to cover all my bases. Installed it, oil leak disappeared. Thank you gasket. However, intermittently at approximately 3,000 RPMs or 30 MPH, the car would start bucking VIOLENTLY. The code thrown was P1259 which, you guessed it, is for this VTEC solenoid. We dealt with it for a week, until it started happening on every drive.I kept the old OEM unit, re-installed it with a new gasket, and the bucking went away. This product is ABSOLUTE junk, and they know it. That's why they only offer 30 days returns.SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND HEADACHE AND FIND AN OEM replacement.

Fits right, works like it should.
This part fit exactly like the original on my 2003 Honda CR-V. Torqued the bolts to 8.5 foot pounds like they're supposed to be and no leaks right now, but it's only been a few weeks. The VTEC feels good and smooth.

Works, high quality, but won't fix the problem immediately.
I was getting a chronic P2647 on my 2004 Acura RSX base. A quick search pointed to the VTEC Solenoid (Spool Valve) as the most likely culprit. I thought to try one of these valves as opposed to the Honda OEM one, as it would be available sooner and was a quarter of the price. The replacement unit felt high quality, when I installed it, and went to clear the code, nothing happened. I was gutted. However, after driving about 50 miles, I cleared the code once more, and it stayed off and the car was back to full health. I'll update this review if it ends up failing, but for now, this gets a thumbs up from me.

Easy install fixed P2646 code. Stopped bucking.
This is a 30-60 minutes job- even the first time - it is held on with 3 -10 mm head size bolts and 2 wiring connections. Located behind the passenger side of the head next to exhaust. This is the spool valve ( aka VTEC solenoid or Rocker arm actuator). My 2007 Honda CRV with 2.4 L four cylinder bucked violently under acceleration. It threw a P2646 code. This fits 2002-2011 Honda Accord, CRV, and Element with 4 cylinder. Unscrew it from the head, pull it off, then disconnect the 2 wiring connectors - push down on tab and pull apart. The Easy type connector needs no tool to unclip.
